So, I am going to Batumi on business and just by looking at Google Maps of the city it looks like there are dozens of casinos. Could not find any threads or much info about NLHE or PLO being played there.
Anyone have any recent experiences in the area?
I am going in a few weeks, so will anyways post here about my findings.
Having gone to the "bigger" casinos at Radisson and Wyndham hotels, and also Golden Palace, the poker they offer is only this version where you play vs the house like blackjack. A bit disappointing as there are plenty of money on the roulette and blackjack tables, mainly russians I think. Batumi is still very nice and glad I went there.
Brief mention.. In Tbilisi I found that Casino Adjara at the Holiday Inn offered NLHE. Players only gathered at around 8pm and a table got going, 1-3 USD. Pretty soon another table opened when more players arrived. Only played a few hours, seemed normal from my experience at other casinos in big cities, a few local grinders and some randoms coming by. At the time it was allowed to smoke at the table, but I understand that will end by some new regulations soon. Will probably go again.
