Hey guys,

Just a quick tip for you, in case this horrendous stuff happens to you one day, so at least my experience can save you some money :

ALWAYS TAKE YOUR TIME BEFORE MUCKING YOUR HAND, IF IN DOUBT, SHOW YOUR F***ING CARDS AND LET THE DEALER DO HIS JOB (I'm only shouting to myself, no offense to anyone)

Action :

Me raising OOP with AJs, getting called by what it looks like a LAG who likes suited cards (seen him going until the river with K4s in a raised pot few hands before this one).

FLOP Jxx with two diamonds.

I bet 2/3 pot he quickly calls.

TURN blank

I check he bets pot I call

RIVER blank

He instashoves after my check.

Im studying the board and decide to call.

He shows A7of Diamonds for a missed draw, and this is the moment I FOLD my hand to the muck, thinking to my self that he showed me a flush.

I was not concentrated enough, and worst, I trusted the voice in my head who told me he had a flush when a flush was impossible.

Lesson? I shouldve let the dealer do his job and turn around me to ask me to show my cards.

I know that this probably happened to some people before, I just wanted to bring value by posting this to remind you people to take your time before each "obvious" decision. Nobody is rushing you at the poker table, take time and study the board and the action before a difficult decision, and if you take this difficult decision, never insta-muck!

Good luck to all and slow the *** down

Best,
