I played some live cash last night at got in a spot that on paper looks like a call but the comment kind of through me off and wondered what you make of these type of situations.

I am on a good table with lots of action the villain seems very aggressive and has 3bet pre a few times and showed a few questionable hands.

Playing £1/1 cash game £130 deep there are a few limpers and Villain on the button pops it to £9, come to me in sb I make it £27 with QQ everyone folds and the villain quickly says "OK I will gamble with you" and ships the rest of his stack in both the comment and the chips going into the pot happen together.

Does this comment give us any information? He doesn't seem very sophisticated so I don't think its misdirection but could be wrong.

Thanks

Rule #1: weak is strong; strong is weak.

"villain quickly" ships and comments.

rash, quick decisions to me are generally weak (interpret as "I don't even need to think about it")

Sure you could be behind AA, KK or chopping QQ. But villain could easily (to me) have any pocket pair or AK or other broadway suited Ace hands. LOL,,, but when I first read your hand description, I instantly thought villain was shipping 88.

What would be VERY helpful here is villain's read on you. Have you been tight? Is this the first time you have raised out of the blinds?

Thanks for your input. Villain had AK and I held

This was the first time I had raised out of the blinds and anyone paying attention would view me as tight, I was a little self conscious about how tight I had been in this session as I was card dead.

"Rule #1: weak is strong; strong is weak." This is very true vs new players and I had another hand vs a new guy with TPTK on Q95ss where I bet the flop and he raised then moved forward and crossed his arms puffing up his chest while staring at me I put him all in and he had a flush draw.
