I beat villain out of a few big pots in nlhe. After that every time I entered the pot he would make a comment like "uh oh he's in" loud so it killed my action. I told him to stop. Is there a rule against him doing this kid of thing?

It happens, not much you can do about it that I am aware of. When it happens to me I ignore it. Sooner or later, the complainer shuts up.

You can ask him to stop, you can also request that he not talk about action during a hand, but neither is likely to be that effective. I believe commenting about a player in a hand (when you are not in it and it is not headsup) would not be allowed by most rooms.

Or you can use his comments to your advantage. Emphasize his perception of your play by showing down with monsters, and then use that tight image to run players off.

If the players are that weak then bet bet bet. It will be easy to read them if they smooth call or reraise.

PAWs = passive-aggressive whiners

(My new phrase)

And tell that PAW to cut it out.

Whether or not to shut him up is not as important as how to take advantage of it. I preach "why, why, why" beginning any mentorship. Why is he doing it? Why is my action gone? Just those two CORRECT answers should give you control of many hands if not the action of the table. Taking down 4 or 5 fourth street pots with your status at that time gives you enough tools for a draw to invest or trips to take another bign' from his kiddy pool antics.

Complain to the floor. He is clearly trying to affect the action. If he continues, get him picked up and booted.

so your action gets killed huh?

you make a hand 33% of the time on average, meaning other 66% of the time you wouldn't want any action. Use this in your advantage, and thank the PAW(like the name) later

OR

maybe do something completely unorthodox like say " give that man a drink to shut up" but in no way get into an argument with this guy. he will make a scene.

It's a sign that you probably can run some scratch bluffs every now and then and show a greater profit.

Either bluff more if there is an actual reaction to his comments and people are folding too often, or if it just annoys you but isn't changing the action make sarcastic comments during every hand he plays/constantly talk at him during hands he's playing until he complains about it, then agree to stop doing it if he'll stfu when you're in a hand as well/if he complains to floor point out he was talking during your hands first and at that point the floor will probably tell you both to stfu when there is action pending and you can just agree to it and the problem is solved.

I always say something here. Low stakes live poker is full of idiots who call down light so the general best strategy is to just fold until you make hands and valuetown them. Now if this happened in a high stakes game where everyone isn't 99% mongoloid then maybe I'd use it to my advantage and try to pick up extra pots but I usually play 2/5 where everyone is a station so I'm probably telling him to STFU and if he doesn't making it an issue with dealer and/or floor.

My 2 cents

I tend to agree if you're nut peddling against station fish that asking him discreetly to stfu is the play followed by calling the floor

I have found these kinds to be the ones who want to see almost every flop. They make such comments as they are on tilt coz of not hitting the board .. but still can't resist that urge of seeing the flop. So if the preflop there is a raise, especially from a single player who is either playing good or is on a card rush, these guys comment to let out their frustration of not being able to see cheap flop. Best way is to make them pay to see the flop and every Street. Soon they either leave the table or run away. Has been my experience.

They won't leave the table until they're busto. If they want to see every flop, that's what they're going to do.
