This is something I seem to struggle grasping in every area, that being what to take note of, how to take notes discreetly, how to apply them, etc.

What do you do to keep track of reg player mistakes to use to your advantage in the long run?

What do you mean take notes? Like where to write things down? I don't. I just pay attention, and I remember it.

I just ask in a general sense, whether it be notes on other players or notes on your own play. Just wondering about how other people take notes in general at a poker table.

Always a good topic. As indicated though, you just need to remember the history you've had with each Player and hopefully you have the capacity for recall.

You will see some Players immediately go to their phone after a hand. I do it sometimes myself ... and I send my own phone a text. The next time I play I will scroll through those texts for a quick study.

Some phones have a 'notes' section for contacts and you can set up certain Players and keep track of them more specifically that way.

I always take note of a Player that constantly goes to their phone. These days it's almost a useless indicator since we are constantly checking our favorite sites and dealing with incoming texts or insta-gram alerts. It's also somewhat difficult to get things done by the time the next hand comes out.

I did know a guy who had a note book that he kept and it was filled with all sorts of poker stuff. He never let it out of his sight!! GL

I would consider it to be rude taking notes on live tables
(ya maybe nowdays since telephones, but when i started i considered a lot a notebook on tables),

i make it a memory excercise. I know i wont remeber anything, but i try to remeber more everytime.

Its same with i had something to do, and i usually take notes, but sometimes i will take them a bit later, to excercise.
