Zach, congrats finally tells in 2+2.

Do you see baseline differences from what a bad recreational player does vs a good regular doing the same thing would mean the opposite?
I see some opposite baselines say in LLSNL 1-3 game vs 5-10 with good players.

Ex. Flatting
Rec's snap call with 88 or marginals VS
Reg tanks, thinking of odds and who is to their left...

Hey thanks.

Yeah, I'm sure you can phrase it this way. There are definitely differences in behaviors, for sure, between inexperienced and more experienced players. It tends to vary so much, though, that I usually just try to study opponents on a case-by-case basis.

But, as you say, bet-timing will be hugely different. Trying to think of other examples. Mainly I think it just comes down to more experienced players being harder to read. I mean, I'm more likely to trust a cold read of someone I view as inexperienced versus someone I view as experienced. If I believe, for whatever reason, that they're experienced, I'm much more likely to ignore something they do or say and wait to see more hands from them. Because they're just more likely to be balanced and/or tricky.

Another sign that a player will tend to adhere to more normal patterns is when they've got a lot of variation in their behavior. Like, for example, when a player is doing all sorts of things differently in one hand versus another. If someone has a lot of variety (example: looking toward you after betting in one hand and then looking down after betting in another hand), it's a sign you should be studying them. Whereas if a player is super-consistent and stoic from one hand to another, that's a sign you probably won't be giving you much.

I don't know if that really helps but I tried

It is so general and experience dependent without examples which tells are.
I have just noticed some baselines differences between RECS vs REGS.
Mostly it is the timing tells.

Vs experienced in a 5-10 game, yes I just hand reading trying to figure out how they think maybe a micro tell is all you can get. Higher stakes turns into leveling war vs tells.
2-5 still has alot Rec's and business men jump into 5-10 too. So thats who Im targeting.

So you dont think Im just posting random tells. Ill put out a couple more just to get it going.

Opening preflop
RECS-pauses wants entire table to see that they are raising=stronger. Fear of AAs being cracked.
REGS-pauses to make a hand look stronger or has to think about 3betting light.

Post flop
RECS-snap-calls flop and turns he likes his hand and isnt folding.
Similar to when a REC holds chips out when its your turn to bet. Some want a free showdown but others will call any amount.

REGS-snap-checks are weak

*Of course this is just baseline like all tells. But thats the point, combining tells with hand reading for extra profit. If its a value bet or saving money by folding.

If a REC is raising fast, you can 3bet lighter.
When he pauses, we know he is strong. So when we hit 2pr+ we can bomb it because he overplays AA
