All In shoves, weak or strong?

When a player says "all-in" forcefully, slams his/her chips down do you perceive it to be weak or strong?
I find players do this quite often on the river as a bluff, they missed their draw and have no way to win and just shove.
I've also seen people do this with the near nuts or nuts as well.
If it's on the flop or turn, I find it's usually a hand that is strong-ish, like top pair good kicker trying to drive out the draws.
What do you find most players have when they do this?

I suppose that really depends who you are dealing with. If its a nit who you feel never gets out of line, then chances are its the nuts. But if its some bet happy fish, or even a solid aggro after a bad beat, chances are its a bluff. Always try to get inside of the players head, and listen to your gut. In the end, in that broad situation, that's all it comes down to.

Classic strong means weak. Slamming bets down is meant to intimidate and usually a vulnerable hand.

Classic tell from an actor. if it is done intentionaly, it usually means weak. However, some people know that, and do it as a strong means weak means strong play. Because it is such an obvious tell, I do not find it terribly reliable.

i would say unreliable tell... Today I did that exact thing on both a hand I was bluffing on , and I also did it when I had the nuts ..., I was confident on both hands , even the Bluff, I felt like no one had anything .... I wouldn't say it means strength , but it might mean confidence, so see how the hand was played and then decide why he's confident ? Is it low pair , high card ? Sometimes when you "check" with top pair low kicker , and the next guy bets, it puts you in a real tough spot and then they feel confident enough for big hands so remember position
