On Thursday September 14th at 7pm we'll be hosting four tables of ladies from the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority of Southwestern University in Georgetown TX.

While the invitational tournament is only for them to participate in, we will have additional tables open for others to play on and expect the room to fill up so be sure to arrive early (doors open at 4pm)

If you can't make it out in-person we'll also be live-streaming it on Youtube at GPC Live with Caitlin Comesky from the Aceholes Podcast as well as local grinder Daniel "Durdy" Marin in the booth for commentary, and would love your support of this new concept for us.

Many of the ladies will be completely brand new to poker so yes they'll be learning and making their share of mistakes. But just their level of interest in participating is a good thing, I'd rather see players coming into the game excited to play and who want to have fun, than a table full of scowling misregs berating dealers and other players.

We aren't charging the sorority anything to participate, we're putting up a prize pool for them to play for. And Youtube revenue from views isn't going to make anyone rich either.

Just thought it was a unique idea that no one has really done and would make for a fun event that introduces a younger generation to the game.

Could be fun to watch rather than a bunch of multi-millionaires donking off a house every hand while not really caring about the money won or lost, or seeing a misreg tanking every decision with their hand across their chest sitting motionless while they have zero personality on-stream and never say a word.

We're putting up $575 in the prize pool, the ladies are not paying anything to participate, this is an Invitational Event. The University is going to assist us in putting up flyers across campus and sharing on their social media platforms because there is no cost to the students participating.

Also, I reached out to EVERY sorority, fraternity and special interest club at the university to organize events (including black-only, asian-only, etc. groups) and this particular sorority was the first to respond and setup an event with us.

I don't control who joins their sorority, and it's possible they have additional "non-white faces" in their sorority that just didn't attend as only about half the sorority was there for the event.
