I am fairly new to streaming and let me tell you just a couple things from a new streamer's perspective....

Also, I am trying to get my stream going myself https://www.twitch.tv/flash2717 and if you all could stop by and give me a follow I would be super appreciative. It means a ton to a streamer who is just getting started to know there are people stopping by even if it is for just a moment so shoot them a follow or a comment in the comments section just to let them know you see them putting in work! Thanks again and I hope this helps.

SO for everyone out there that thinks you're just going to hop on Twitch and all of a sudden 50 people are going to start watching you because you have a nice layout are sadly mistaken. I don't want to bust anybody's bubble but reality is that you are going to spend the first bit of your journey talking to yourself and only yourself. However, if you keep talking and put on a good show you can save these videos for other people to watch at a later date which might bring them back to you again.

The most important thing you can do to start to get a small following is being consistent in streaming. You must be streaming or you won't ever get any followers right. I would say that following other streamers in your genre also helps because if you are supporting them they may give you a shoutout or something which could be huge for you channel. Slayer gave me a shoutout and if I had it to do all over again I would have taken advantage of that more and been more consistent in my streaming the month that followed rather than being worried about how good my layout looked. He's a huge streamer with a big following and I messed up.

Also, I think you need a clear plan of what you want to do with your channel. This is your outlet to enjoy yourself as well so do something you will enjoy talking about and are passionate about. This will make it easier to discuss or do on a routinely basis and keep it fresh and fun for your audience.

Lastly is market yourself. Tell your friends and neighbors and your boys from Discord. Tell everyone you are streaming so you can hit those affiliate goals and start making a small chunk of change off your endeavors.

One last things is be thankful you get to do this and when people follow or whatever show them some love so maybe they want to come back later.

I am going to start trying to post on my Twitter and in here when I am going live so maybe you all who do want to stop by and who your support can.

Well I have streamed to a total of 3 people normally but I did peak at 9 viewers for a few minutes which was super cool. It's crazy how streaming for 9 people vs 3 people really gets you fired up and the juices flowing. I could see how the bigger streamers don't find it so boring and find it more interesting and fun. They will have people to interact with and talk about stuff that doesn't seem as forced as it probably does for someone streaming to 1 or 2 viewers. It is fun though when you make a dumb play or stack someone and you can talk to the chat for a minute about the hand or whatever.

I am finding it more and more enjoyable the more people who stop by and just say hey or whatever. Sooooo, stop on by and say hi guys and gals. I will be there starting at 9pm Est Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
