That’s it? A little over an hour of live coverage today? Geez, I signed up for PG for the first time ever just for WSOP and I’m kinda wondering what I’m paying for now.

Yea, they showed the Hellmuth table for a couple minutes and then ended it. Sucks.

Yeah, they clearly had the ability to show it. Even if the graphics were a no go, they could still air it for 45 minutes or an hour. Even the commentators seemed surprised they were just ending.

Does he know something we don't? I'm not seeing that on the schedule for tomorrow. Or if he makes it they will add it?

"Need to make the final 5 and play on PokerGo app Live Thursday"

Well it says on WSOP.com

The surviving players return tomorrow at 4 p.m. PST and play on a live-stream hosted by PokerGO until a champion is crowned.

So it looks like Mr/Ms PokerGo listened [?] / acted on my/our comments

We did look at a stripped-down version of a stream that could possibly go on YouTube, but unfortunately we couldn't make it work for this WSOP.
This was the response to my question about showing the 10k Omaha 8/B final if PH got there.

It sounds like they have moved the final table to the Thunderdome. Not sure if that affects the HU 25k event #11

The PH final table starts 4pm PST, the HU coverage is due to start at 8pm ET

I think that means PH final has an hour before the HU should start?

Maybe they will play out the final table and then move the HU to the 'featured' table to take over?

As PH is the shortest stack he may be bust quite soon.

Anyway, it seems like PokerGo have confirmed they are showing the 10k Omaha Final Table now.

Which is great.

It's very tough in TV/set up to be flexible - and it's nice to know that they will put in a lot of effort, in cases like this, to try and make it happen.

I do think showing just the final 5 [FT] is poor... I'm sure it's to make it easier on the commentators and viewers. But I don't like that decsion. And a lot of their viewers may have come to watch the FTs because of someone who gets knocked out 9 to 6 - and then they stay to support someone they didn't know about before. So, it's likely to hurt numbers...

Anyway - this quickly turned into a dissertation

It would've been a bit cumbersome to 'just stay live' for PHell's 'semi-final' table last night and hung the commentators out to dry with no hole cards and bad camera angles. If that tournament had been near a dinner break then perhaps they could've moved one of the tables over to the TDome. The other issue is that the high roller guys loath having hole cards shown .. especially when there's another table that isn't showing hole cards. When there's a FT going on everyone has access to the same intel, so to speak.

I've also seen that when you register for a tournament it states that the WSOP has the right to modify the schedule at their discretion .. which I assume means they could delay a FT if it's deemed stream worthy for PGo and there isn't a FT already in play (or the delayed one is a better) GL

Yeah, I get the unfairness of showing cards on one table.

But I'd be happy with final tables from when they are actually 'official' final tables - rather than 5 handed

I wouldn't mind if they had the first part of the show - with no commentary and explain it's 'bonus' and the actual commentary/show will start in two hours time... you couldn't say from 5 handed as it would be too difficult to know when that would be.

That would then limit the amount of time a commentary team have to work. Though you'll still get the odd marathon.

I get that it's not effective to have a swing / 2nd commentary team to take over if the game runs longer than x hours.

It says return at 4pm PST, but there is always a 1 hour delay so should be 5pm PST. on PokerGo, but at the same time as the HU tournament? So you have to watch one and then watch the other later?

I might register for this, but since hellmuth has no chips, if he busts in the first few hands, can I have my $19 back?

That is weird that they put that on the screen just now that Phil has 2 kids. I don't think I have ever heard or knew that before. I have never heard him mention any kids ever.
