Ok, I read all of these posts. I printed six pages of information on the WSOP.* There is something that I don't understand--why isn't this on TV?

Think about it. The football and baseball playoffs are on TV. The same with soccer, basketball and all kinds of other sports and competitions (see: Boston Marathon.) I am training for my second marathon and I try to watch every televised marathon. Every marathon is must-see viewing for me.

Guess what else I watch on TV every year? I'll give you a hint--It takes a lot of memory work to excel. You don't need to be big or strong. The best players often study 50 or more hours a week, for weeks at a time, so that they can be the best and make a lot of money.

If you said that I'm describing poker, you would be correct, but the description also perfectly describes the National Spelling Bee. The only difference is that poker players win money, but spelling champions win books and college scholarships.

Given all of the above above, please explain why the World Series of Poker can't be on once a year.

One more thing: I have been playing poker for about 40 years. I saw a poker tournament on TV, started playing on PokerStars and it didn't take long for me to start cashing. In about a year I got my first big cash. My buy-in was $3.30. I cashed for $330. Poker is my job now.

Because TV networks don’t base their schedules on what you enjoy watching. It doesn’t get ratings like it used to and that’s all that matters.

Been fun to see so far this ME.

Except for the last hand with Doyle.

Spoiler:
I audibly and loudly yelled “oh **** you!!” When that 10 hit the river.

Are you capable of justifying why the 1 HOUR FREE stream went for just 32 minutes, and even worse, the first hand was dealt at the 10 minute mark?

Since when has 1 hour meant 22 minutes?
