Played the PLO tourney, came into the final 9 shorter stacked but went on to bust three players and get it headsup. He had a 4:1 chiplead though and in the end got it in pretty solid preflop, he outflopped me hitting the 5, I bink the 8 on the turn but the river 2 promotes his AK to the best hand and I had to settle for 2nd for $1830

Congrats.. that’s a sick run.. jealous of a plo mtt live. In the northeast we barely have Hold ‘em events anymore bc of a shortage of dealers.

Came into the final table relatively shorter-stacked. Had a guy 4-outer me in a pot but I was able to find the river fold to preserve my stack. In the end I wound up busting him and two others at the final table.

The two chip leaders midway through the final got involved in a pot where one tried an over the top all-in bluff and the other guy eventually didn't believe him and called it off and was right, taking a commanding lead.

The old chip leader hung on though and survived as I busted two players and eventually the new chip leader sent him packing in 3rd and we got it headsup.

My highpoing headsup was around 1.5 Million of the 5.4 million chips in play, but I wasn't able to win the final flip, still pretty happy with the result.

They do this every Wednesday here, it's called a "PLO Freeroll" but it's not exactly. They guarantee 4K in the prize pool but then you:

1. pay $30 which goes towards house and dealers (you get 15K chips)

2. Immediately you can do $20 add-ons for 10K chips (up to five of these total, so another $100)

3. If you do the full $100 you can do a $10 dealer add-on for another 10K chips

4. At the break you can also do up to another $110 for more chips

So I was into the event for $250, not exactly a "freeroll" but the level of play overall is pretty bad, as I've found in most PLO tournaments. At the final table a lady I thought had been pretty solid decided to make her stand in the SB against my button pot-sized bet holding some garbage like K844 or something like that, it was pretty astounding when she turned her hand faceup, I'm just thinking "what the hell are you doing?"

I had the JT98 one suit rundown and made my straight after a 652 flop (turned the 7) and the lady in the SB was short stacked too and decided to get involved with AQT6 double suited, which I thought was fine, but I ran better.

Awesome, feel free to come up and say hi, although usually there's 2-3 tables so it's possible we'll wind up on the felt together as well

I watched a lot of your most recent blogs and for the most part I enjoyed them. I think you do a tremendous job explaining your thought process, and the action. The quality of the videos for the most part are high quality and your voice is solid for the narration. Despite these kind words my biggest gripe is how you handle losing hands/pots.

Several times in the more recent videos you openly mock, criticize, and moan about your bad beats!! Yes you got it in as a 70/30 favorite, or had 83% equity on a turn, but when you get sucked out on you take it terribly. PLO is a high-variance game which I am sure you are aware of, and if you truly want to help the game grow, and help your 'brand' I think you would be better off taking these losses in a better manner. I'm sure you are aware of this, but just my two cents.

Keep up the vlogs!

You're absolutely right. I definitely suffer from that "entitlement" mentality where I feel I "deserve" to win, and it spills out. The content you're viewing now is from the third week in October, so I was still shouting SUCKA DEALA! back then, which I've seen ceased doing and I take them out of vlogs because I know they were a polarizing aspect of my content.

I do need to be better about taking losses, and appreciate you watching and taking the time to share your feedback

Im really not referring to that catchphrase, what I was citing was when you specifically zoom in and showcase the 'crappy' winning hand and make comments like 'these are the types of hands that beat me'(IN FRONT OF THE PLAYER & ENTIRE TABLE TOO!), or when you chirp back at the 'bratty brit' who you claimed to be miserable for no reason because he quartered and scooped you in two bomb pots. You also made a comment about 'degeners are gonna degen'

I understand that recs are sometimes miserable, and that is especially the case for PLO and Limit Omaha players, but you are playing in the juiciest games atm with some of the worst players. DONT TAP THE GLASS.

Ah, the brit wasn't the one who got me in the double board bomb pots though, it was a middle aged guy and we were joking because when he won 3/4 of the pot he seemed upset because he didn't scoop it, so we were joking about it at the table that winning 75% of the three-way pot wasn't enough to please the guy.

As far as the Brit goes, we had a good rapport and that's why he was willing to be on camera with me giving him grief, because he enjoyed playing wild and cracking my bigger hands.

Aside from that clip I shared recently where I lose my **** (where I posted four raw, unedited hands) I am generally not going on Hellmuthian tirades on people, as I agree I don't want to be a mis-reg and make being at the table unenjoyable for other players.

That being said, I'm not immune to tilt, entitlement or some level of Hellmuth-style issues, and I'm working on it because I want my content to be enjoyable and not mis-reggy (if that's not a word, it should be)

This week be sure to catch me on the PLO Stream from Texas Card House - Austin. I'm playing 1/2/5 PLO with buyins up to 1K and match the stack.

The stream will be viewable at 7pm Eastern, 6pm Central and 4pm Pacific times on Thursday, January 5th (that's tomorrow!) on the TCH Live Channel at https://www.youtube.com/@TCHLiVEPoker

This is my first ever session on stream and I'm really excited for it and I hope you can all make it and pop into chat to show your support. If this gets enough views/likes/chat they're looking to do a monthly PLO stream which would be amazing!

Also hard at work on my next vlog which will be releasing next week and is a really fun one where I more than 14x my stack, but it is a rollercoaster session with some highs and lows, so stay tuned!

Just wanted to say I watched on Thurs and they had the stream playing last night at TCH Spring in Houston. Didn't catch the end of the stream or that big hand you were mentioning (so if you want to timestamp it for me, go for it), but I did keep looking up and seeing that your VPIP was low and you were in the green, which are two good signs!
