Too bad this kid has little to no interest in jumping on the opportunities being presented to him in the poker world, he's just a Counterstrike player who unwittingly became the talk of the poker world and doesn't really know what hit him.

You should have at least watched 1 hour of his stream before doing this podcast. It was stupid because you were unprepared and made him feel like he is supposed to know poker and made him feel embarrassed. That's why he felt the need to lie about most stuff. You should have made him feel more comfortable by letting him know that everyone loves watching him play and not judging his game.

I've watched plenty of his stream. I asked him basic questions about things he was doing. I don't think he was embarrassed at all. He had an idea of all the things he was talking about that were poker related and I wasn't trying to tell him anything new

Hey man, everyone wanted Joe to do this, he came through. There were entertaining moments, some enjoyed it. Joe literally took every approach he could, some humor, some trolling, some raw honesty, some boyband talk. He certainly let him know that the viewers love him. There was obviously going to be some kind of "poker talk", not sure what direction you expected it to go, but thats not all on Joey. No matter what approach he would have chosen, you'd have disgruntled viewers. I think some of you are being a bit unreasonable, and I think sticky got more comfortable as it progressed and enjoyed telling some of his stories as well. Zero repor built. You asked him questions you already knew the answer to, but pretended like you didn't. Made him feel uncomfortable from the beginning.

Yea to be honest, when you came on his stream and typed in chat, you dont want to talk much about poker, mostly life/etc.. I thought this interview would be great.

I dont think there was much joey could have done to give you guys more of what you wanted. The one thing i got from watching that I didnt already know was that sticky has no interest in being apart of the poker world.

sticky seems pretty set on making his stream about CS.

Overall, it was about on par with watching one of his streams, as far as laughs go.

I can't say I disagree with the first part. This isn't my job guys lol, people said get stickyrice on, i got the guy on. I asked him some poker questions, twitch, hookers, women, dancing, the stuff he spends most of his time talking about on stream. I know almost all the answers to the questions I ask most people, it doesn't matter if I know the answers , you want the people watching to find out the answers from that person instead of you.

I tried to make it work but I don't think he was really into the idea from the beginning as he thought I only wanted to make fun of him instead of actually getting to know more about him and his life/mindset. That isn't how most people usually are going into a podcast and I'm not a pro yet at overcoming something like that I still enjoyed the chat and hope he does well with his twitch takeover

Busting your balls as I've been rooting for the kid since watching his stream a couple times. Clearly has no hope in poker but best of luck in his ventures. Best of luck to you too man. Enjoy your streams.

Sticky is a kid with ADD and does not make a good interview.
It was awkward but I was loling hard at many points. The gay questions especially haha he thought you were coming onto him.

i don't agree with that at all. the more interested an interviewer is in hearing what its subject has to say the more engaging and entertaining it is to watch.

ummm +1 on more hosts fault than sticky.

Awkward on both sides but up to the host to find a level ground and get comfortable.

Props for setting it up and getting it done though.

Nice post Sparkr, great suggestions. Feel free to share anymore with me you might have. I think to some extent I do a good job at most of those ideas. I do tend to already have some type of relationship with most of the people I have on and we tend to have one massive thing in common (poker) which makes the conversation flow pretty easily. The 5th thing you said is something that I halfway do sometimes naturally but reading how you worded it makes a ton of sense. The last part is also something I've never thought much about as I usually just end at random times when I feel the conversation has died off.

Sticky for sure wasn't in his comfort zone. The whole interview was like a blind date when the people who set it up were sure that it will work but instead both dates are just waiting when it's ok to leave.

I just watched the whole stream and thought it was good. Of course there were some uncomfortable moments but that's inevitable when talking to someone for more than an hour straight.

To those who said Joey was trolling him, I don't think so at all, maybe some harmless ball busting but as an interviewer, Joey could have embarrassed Sticky so much more with some of the things he said and didn't seem judgmental when there were so many set ups that were available by Sticky's words or his opinions. I think most of us would have trolled kinda hard on some of what Sticky said and probably made him way uncomfortable.

This was my first time watching the podcast and I felt it delivered, but I know there are such high expectations from the viewers but many don't understand the difficulties of maintaining all the elements of interviewing, while trying to keep it entertaining at the same time...especially with a controversial character like Sticky and the kind of questions people want answered because it's him.

sticky was uncomfortable and nervous b4 the start, there is a difference between chilling n playing a game with an audience to being interviewed in front of one.

his dreams of becoming a cs go star making 50k a month will never happen, there people that have that market sewn up, and the big cs go streamers arnt making near that anyway. he needs to stream something different, something new and exciting to pull viewers away from the other streamers, poker could of been that, its new, and he def was exciting and entertaining. but sticky tryin to be a copy cat, and frankly you not going to pull viewers and donaters from the big streamers doing the same thing they do imo .

Is he a good cs player? Everytime I watch him playing he just keeps dying. And it's boring as hell. Gues you have to play yourself to enjoy watching that. Just like poker.
