You mean you don't see why this is a big deal, and you think people are making a mountain out of a molehill? Not sure what would lead you to think this actually matters a lot to everybody, based on a handful of posts from a handful of people, including yourself.
Audience engagement does seem to help build a Twitch audience, which Jaime seems to have picked up on early, ahead of a lot of other people. So if he's a bit down, why wouldn't some of his audience members try to help him out of his funk.
There's probably some streamers who focus too much on the poker, and not enough on trying to draw the audience in. Maybe there needs to be both solid poker content, and a certain delivery on camera for a stream to grow. Jaime's camera presence is excellent, so he's got reason to be proud of what he's been able to achieve with his stream in building his audience, when competition's so tough.
