Agree.
His podcast is pretty good, and apparently he's gonna start playing on stream in March.
Seems like a good "fun" player

Last night's stream was incredibly entertaining. It was a good lineup of characters and there was lots of action. I don't think there is a better live commentator than Bart Hanson.

all the talk is and will be about a crazy slow roll by Dylan vs Garrett in a $185K pot. I don't get too bent out of shape over unwritten rules. it's okay to have a villain. even before the slow roll that hand was the most interesting one I've seen on stream in a while.

It's a crappy thing for Dylan to do, but it will make for some good drama down the line. Garrett is incredibly patient and easily the best player on HCL, so he will find a spot to make all that money back and more against Dylan.

Dylan is back on Friday.

The slow roll just came out of nowhere. The week before he was tilted when he showed up and was talking up a storm the whole time. Last Friday other than Julie asking him what part of NYC he was from he hardly said a word the entire stream. I'd love to see Wesley be the one to slow roll him back since we know Gman will not. He **** talked him and his Chinese buddy. Too bad I don't think Wesley knows what a slow roll is. Ben should have been the guy to target for Dylan for entertainment and tilt factor. Maybe it's an act but he gets heated about the smallest stuff. His head would explode if he got slow rolled in a huge spot like that.

Dylan came off an overly sensitive baby when Garrett threw out the Mike Tyson quote. I hope the kid gets what he deserves. "My unborn child would slap you in the face". Good one Dylan. Good one.

Luda chris vs Vertucci interesting hand has caused quite a bit of controversy tonight, essentially if you didn't see it luda got stacked on like a 6 2 4 flop with A 6 vs 99 gets it in on turn 7 when nick shoves into him, he tank called and during the whole hand was kind of talking trash to nick directly, ends up tank calling and brick river so nick wins and then proceeds to ask luda to turn his hand over because of something he had though luda had said regarding luda flipping his hand over, most the table and the commentator proceed to attack nick regarding the bad etiquette and luda and nick kind of seem to talk it out but it gets brought up for the next hour +. Regarding the "bad etiquette" idk coming from online where your hand is turned over automatically during an all in I could really care less and think live poker should be required to follow the same rule to avoid this, I've always thought this since i started live but that's just my opinion. I can definitely understand where the bad etiquette accusations come from if luda is the perceived fish and nick is the better player and it being a live streamed game but once again it is what it is. It should have ended there, but when they showed the graphics of the w/l for the whole table it showed nick up 50k and the rest of the table down, and for whaetever reason a lot of the chat starts lobbing unfounded accusations of cheating, with Tuchman even addressing them on commentary and rightfully telling them to "provide evidence or gtfo". They legit thought dude was cheating for folding to a 4 bet with kq vs aq vs luda loooooool, on one hand its bad for the game to accuse them of cheating for making a solid fold but on the other its great realizing how many live fish there are in these chat streams.

I’m pretty sure the cheating accusations are people trolling.
Nick has been winning almost every session for weeks now… But when you realize he’s playing against unbelievably bad players and “allowed” to play a 15% VPIP it adds up.

Say whatever you want, but he runs the show, so he gets a seat. He’s also a “character” and a “name” so he can play super tight and reap all the benefits of playing vs fun stream players. These other players are bad, or if they’re pros, know they gotta be action to be invited back. Easy game

The hand thing was weird. Nick shoves, Chris tank calls, and while they’re waiting Chris says something like “Well either way you’re showing first [Because I called you]”

Nick tables hand
“You win…”
And then asks to see the losing hand, because he thinks Chris was being a dick about saying what he said or something, IDK.

If I were Chris I would’ve reached over or taken the cards out of the dealers hands and mashed them into the muck.

An aside, Nick had scolded Wesley all week for doing the same, but Wesley doesn’t know what he’s doing. Wesley calls, player goes “Ace High…” and Wesley just waits for them to turn their hand over or I guess muck. Nicks told him that’s bad etiquette, etc.

As far as Nick playing in the game, it does seem like he is taking advantage of a situation where the game is set up to recruit loose/fish/whale type players and then he gets the benefit of playing a TAG style in that game to exploit it. I also noticed that the seating doesn't seem to be random. Nick seems to always get a seat to the direct left of a whale like Chris or Barry. Must be nice. None of this is cheating, but it is getting the benefit of a great situation that you have direct control of.

As far as the hand where Nick asks to see Chris' cards, I like how Dave Tuchman said at first that was poor form. It's nice to see the commentators be able to give a fair and unbiased opinion. But then there was some table talk later that Nick misunderstood some of Chris' table talk during the hand, which led him to ask to see the hand. Nick later apologized for the misunderstanding, but I'm still not sure what was said between the two to lead to that incident.

I believe they'd said that they don't draw for seats in any game but the Friday ones, so they seating arrangements are just chosen. And people have "Lucky" favorite seats.

But yes, none of that is cheating, but it's way way way more beneficial for Nick to play in these games than it is the loose rec player obviously. It's just funny that the show basically explicitly states that in order to play on stream you "gotta bring something"

A. Followers/social media presence for views
B. Wild wacky entertaining play
C. People wanna play with you (Garrett/Dwan/Ivey)

Nick fills none of the requirements...

Last night Ronnie was complaining that players were late, and they had to play short for 90 mins because it's a private game. Put that game on Bravo/Atlas and I'm sure the list would be triple digits buddy

Thoughts on the Friday episode tonight:

Garrett stacking Dylan was one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time in poker. It was awesome to see how crushed Dylan was and how he had to leave the game right there. It's completely understandable as I've been there myself. Dylan totally deserved that though and it was sweet!

Nick seemed to be bragging about how his father was in the mafia in Chicago. Nick runs a poker show where honestly, integrity and fair play are absolute requirements to keep the game and show going. Openly bragging about how your family was linked to crime doesn't seem like the best thing to affiliate with running a high stakes poker game.

Marc Goone also mentioned spending time in jail during his 30s for arson. Ok. That's nice of him to be open and honest about his past. But being an arsonist...not too sure what to think about that. Seems like a bit of a sick crime to me. He seems like a decent guy from what I've heard on the stream, but a crime like that doesn't shine the best light on him.

Guy is trolling... I'd bet 80% of what he says is him screwing around and trying to be over eccentric.

Like when he answers "How are you" with gentle, does the yogurt commercials, says Hustler is located 8 miles under the Pacific Ocean, He's not 44 years old, etc etc

Ok thanks for clarifying. I just looked up his age and it looks like he is only 21. I know that kids like to be sacrastic and everything, but it wasn't even funny and it was weird how Marc kept going on about the time in jail and then Nick even kept up with it as well. It was a pretty story to tell IMO.

Goone is like 32-35
He's from St.Louis, I know friends of friends that went to college with him. They've confirmed he did actually drive a school bus at one point

Never been a fan of DGAF myself he forgets the point of poker is to win money . Sure in a live environment you need to keep the fish happy, but he says silly stuff like it's wrong to steal someone's blinds if you have more money then them. Maybe he has a dry sense of humor and I just don't get it

I noticed a typo in my original post about Goone there. I meant to say "It was a pretty dumb story to tell IMO".

About Goone's age, when I Google it, it comes back as having a birthday of June 25, 2000, making him 21. But I know there are cases when celebrity birthdays/age can be fake/inaccurate.

In highschool I worked at a store with a girl who went on to become an actress on a major soap opera. When I looked up her IMDB, it has her age listed as 7 years younger than she actually is. I find it weird that an actress can openly lie about her age like that, since all the people who knew her growing up would know how old she really is.

I know you can get a sense of last Friday’s profit/loss per player, but weak that they didn’t just show it at the end.

Anyone know what happened to last Nov/Dec’s whales? Bled dry? Tired of losing?

On the Friday stream, I remember Marc Goone mentioning that he plays online at Bovada/Ignition, and then on his Twitch streams, he does review of his play. He said something like after a certain amount of time (24 or 48 hours) he then gets access to all the players hands to be able to review his play. This sounded a bit weird so I checked it out on Marc's Twitch tonight.

Here is the link for his Sunday show:
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1410502792

At 2:04:00 you see all the players hands displayed. I did not previously know this is information that online sites gave away, but to me it just feels like too much. It is a great tool for people to analyze how their opponent played, but it also makes it so those players tendencies and patterns can be totally exploited with enough study.

Just in my opinion, its not how I'd like to play the game and it takes alot of the fun and mystery out of it. I wouldn't want to play on a site where someone can look back at how I played all of my hands. I would just feel to vulnerable and exploitable in those situations and on that site.

Does anyone know if other online sites give out that type of information for all the hands played? I play on Pokerstars, and I do see they have replays for big final tables showing all the hands people had. That is more of a rare circumstance, so I'm not concerned about that; but more about the Bovada situation.
