Seems like they've abandoned the idea of showing real poker, and are all-in on the donkfests. I'm sure it's good for the the showrunners' bankroll but I hardly watch at all anymore

PLO week was fun because it's always fun to watch Dwan, but this 50K min/max buyin with 100K cap where they just flip 85x in 5 hours is actually really boring

The more I think about, the more I think Vertucci response was a troll. I distinctly remember him saying in the past that they don't pay players. If they pay Airball, they got to pay others like Wesley. No way they can pay the regulars that kind of money per episode. Say Wesley loses a ton to Nik one night, he's gonna want some of that back from HCL since he's just as big a featured player.

No longer a joke when a semi-legit news source like HighStakesDB picks it up and presents it as a legitimate story. Not everyone is a poker nerd who keeps up with EVERY little thing that Vertucci and his HCL stream does. There is STILL concerns as to how Airball can go about losing MILLIONS of dollars playing on that stream. Maybe there is some kind of wink-wink concessions being made to induce action in the game.

Given the very sketchy history of some of the players who have come and gone on that stream, I don't think the owner of that stream should be half-assing responses.

- Gal Yifrach, indicted on felony charges for running illegal gambling and money laundering.
- Lenard Adams aka Lucky charged with rape, kidnapping, fraud, intimidation and theft. These charges were the result of accounts from at least four women, according to police.
- Julio "Skillsrocks" Cedillo, banned from HCL for blatantly cheating on live stream
- Garrett Adelstein, stealing hundreds of thousands dollars from female poker player.
- Dustin Aab, so-called influencer, scamming poker players out of hundred of thousands of dollars.

Are we to believe Airball has unlimited amounts of money, even after losing his banking job? Do we need another victim to be fleeced before we have some kind of accountability??

based off of this post alone you are 100% confirmed a poker nerd that keeps up with EVERY little thing that Vertucci and his HCL stream does.

That would be a WRONG assessment. Poker nerds have to play poker. Haven't played poker in 2 years. All I do is watch the drama that is HCL. What I do keep track of, are all the scammers on the show. It's like an unfolding train wreck. What I do is the equivalent of poker rubbernecking. The scammy nature of some poker players have killed the game for other recreational players like myself. It's analogous to what Sam Bankman Fried and all the other scammy crypto bros have done to cryptos. Destroyed the industry.

Btw, all those creators games on HCL suck. The only watchable games now are the big buy-ins.

I heard on Berkey's podcast that he's roommates with this Austin guy who threatened to rape and murder, torture the other Asian guy and his mom. Told him he has all the drugs, sells drugs, "You better know who he is!"

And months ago, Vertucci said Pepe was a scumbad drug dealer or something, of course he said he was taken out of context and "apologized"

So, saying all this, eh it wouldn't be hard to convince me he owes money/scumbag
