A few comments after million dollar cash game:

First Day: Just not the fireworks we all expected - notwithstanding noble efforts by Alan Keating.

Day 2 500k buy-in: They found Aussie Matt and the fireworks! The epic JRB roller-coaster saga continues. 1m+ swings. Is Huss a superpro? Charles buried.

Day 3: Oh it's a public holiday?

Day 4: Rampage's dream continues 1m bluff vs Handz? Huss claims to be a losing player, hassles Wesley's supernit VPIP. Airball a gentleman by comparison? Wesley "what's yo Mama's name?".

Day 5 finale: Could it have been any better? Doug shows hand to Wesley in hand vs Dwan then 420k river bluff? Doug AA vs LSG Hank AJs another 1m+ allin bluff? Wesley's turn to show Polk hand then bluff Dwan in 3.1m pot? Great table talk - Polk, a psychopath? Dwan's debts? Polk and Dwan to have a beer? Wesley another 1m+ hand when sleeping Hank literally wakes up with QQ? Game near the end then Hank gets str8 over str8 vs Dwan to get unstuck. Airball, Polk and Wesley all buried.

I guess if your name is Tom Dwan it's more likely they'll try to bluff you?

Alan Keating did play. But the aggressive pros and semi-pros probably made more interesting plays than the VIPs. Mariano the new GOAT didn't play.

I feel that if you have the ability to play regularly with Dentist Dave, Jibrael, Francisco and Mike X... the frequency with which you need to 5-bet/3 barrel bluff Tom Dwan in order to not become exploitable is precisely 0. Unbeatable entertainment though and I love the heaaaaart!

The recent million-dollar cash games was a good outing for the non-regs: Dwan, Huss, Yong, Tony G, Brandon Stevens, JRB, Rampage.. Not so good for Polk, Aussie Matt, Haralabob and Stanley Tang I suppose.

Of the Friday regs... it now looks like only Mariano, Garrett and Vertucci are decently up lifetime at Hustler. And maybe Mars? Hard times for Airball, Ben and Charles.

It depends on what the backers decide. Its not real poker and to me its not so entertaining to see people play like ****.

If they were playing on their own dime those players probably would have been broke a while ago. They'll probably stick around for a while though as bad players are ably to easily get backing for whatever reason

I've noticed that HCL, like many other televised poker shows makes the effort to have attractive female players. I'm a straight guy myself, so I have no complaints about this.

I'm just curious as to why no porn actresses have made it to the poker table? I'm sure every type of public personality has played on televised/streamed poker: pro athletes, actors, musicians, reality tv contestants, social media influencers, gamers, streamers etc.

Why not porn actresses? Lots of them are smoking hot, work in LA, have big social media followings and would look good at the poker table. I just think it would be a cool new thing to see on HCL.

Whoever it was, it was humor. Doug presents himself as a pro who is willing to play in tough lineups.

It might have been recreational player Rob Yong. On the 4th day, there were a couple of seats open but Feldman seemed reluctant to introduce new players. Rob had already played a couple of days and Doug said when interviewed that if he (Doug) was not allowed to join the game then Rob should not get to join either. Doug said something like either they both join together or neither join.

Rob and Doug had been needling each other a bit.

Brandon Stevens (if that is who you are referring to) doesn't appear to be a regular in the Friday games. He only seems to be in the bigger buy-in games.

When you look at new attendees at the Friday games they tend to be recreational players like Bobo, Dentist Dave, Pepe, Jibrael and Dr H. Henry is a little bit of an outlier in that he appears to be a good aggressive player who gives a lot of action but, like Andy, is not crushing currently.

I would say that Ryan Feldman is happy with his core line-up and if he introduces new players, it will be people his core players are happy playing with.
