Just a reminder, he was making fun of Negreanu's obsessive effort to win POY, clearly Polk doesn't care about it himself or he would have entered more tournaments, so he was playing a role of someone who cares.

I've watched it a second time, as there was lots I missed out the first time. Like when it starts Doug looks wrecked, and I was thinking how he'd let himslf go... then remembered Negreanu looking half asleep in his vids getting burned out by this mad POY chase (who else really cares who wins the title?) as saw he was making fun of Negreanu.

Dnegs Vlogs so much better then Doug's imo. Dnegs keeps it real, more mature and plenty more baller then Doug

To be fair, Negreanu has a professional crew doing his VLogs. Doug has Binks. I still favor Doug's though.

shhhh, Im trying to make a point here! srslysirius has some great talent. Dougs VLogs are mostly shot with his phone though. His skits and whatnot are very well put together. DNegs has an entire film crew following him around I believe.

Doug played a bunch of mixed games on stars, it didn't go very well, but probably would make him a winner in lol-live mtts. I just don't think he cares enough.

I think Negreanu made some peculiar comments about his over protective brother in his last vlog. Better watch your face bones Doug..... or whatever the hell he was going on about. What a maroon.

He also quite candid about trying to make the leap to PLO and how it cost him thousands of dollars. Although, he plays a fair amount of PLO for fun now and seems fairly solid.

I think that DN has completely ****ed his image in poker but there is neuroscience behind being grateful on a habitual level that will boost a person on many levels. It stimulates serotonin, dopamine, nor epinphrine. Basically the same neurotransmitters that many anti depressants are reuptake inhibitors to. It would for sure have an impact on energy levels and brain performance in a poker setting. Also it has a huge boost on optimism which will help a ton when you need to have patience or need to make a big laydown when you know your beat but have a ton of chips invested.

I used to absolutely love watching him play and making sick reads, talking about his hands etc. That was so much fun to watch, but now what the hell is he doing?

Doug absolutely obliterated his rep by picking up and running with the rake comments, and it seems like DNegs blames Doug for that rather than accepting responsibility for his own stupid remarks.

IMO I really think that he believes he is doing all this BS to better others and blah blah, instead of being a selfish greedy asshat but who knows. I am on the same page though, use to enjoy watching him play and his hand reading analysis etc. Now its just painful to see his arrogant nonsense vlogs and vegan lifestyle stuff.

The funny thing is that DNegs is still standing behind his "more rake is better" he said in one of his vlogs the other day it was a simple concept that everyone should understand.

Negreanu is a lost soul imo.... Hi blogs aren't fun, they're mildly interesting at times, but mainly just weird and awkward. Possibly one of the most narcissistic people I've ever seen.

Personally, I have very little interest in his workout regime, diet or listening to him try to convince himself that the waffle he has learnt at choice centre is beneficial. Of course I continue to watch his Vlogs with keen interest....

In comparison, Doug's video's work far better because he comes across genuine - this is me, take it or leave it type of style with lots of humour thrown in for good measure.

On a side, I also tried the Jeff Gross Vlogs - they're as boring as Negreanu's without the car crash potential. I really can't see what angle he is going for and offers nothing that isn't covered to a higher standard elsewhere... Yesterday he started to interview his Dad & I had to question what the f**k I was doing with my life...

I like to watch Jeff Gross sometimes on twitch streams but I am going to have to agree with you on the vlog front, they are pretty boring at best. Seems all he does is half-ass interview people, some random and some we already know about. He also talks sort of awkwardly at times and its almost cringe to watch. I like more of the poker related stuff, when he was out to eat with a bunch of poker pros that was actually interesting to watch, think he needs to include more stuff along those lines. But he is new to the game and hopefully will correct his mistakes soon.
