He should do one on how him and srslyserious relentlessly bullied Marafioti because of their dire need for attention and views. Was pretty obvious even at the time the kid was in a rough spot mentally & emotionally.

Hopefully it's not true and it hasn't been confirmed yet but apparently he just committed suicide as well.

Hellmuth makes a few not-completely-terrible points but is just such a ridiculously delusional narcissist that I can't take most of what he says seriously. I actually had thought that referring to Phil as a narcissist was an exaggeration before now. He reminds me of Michael Scott, except even less self-aware

The Helmuth pod was unwatchable....I had to turn it off after 15 minutes because Helmuth is such a narcissist. the ME ME ME I'M SO GREAT all the time is exhausting.

I actually really like watching/listening to long-form interviews with Helmuth. I thought Remko and Jonathan Little did a good job, and Polk's was enjoyable too. You just have to accept that Helmuth is insecure and needs reassurance. He is actually very perceptive, intelligent and says some interesting things - his vulnerability is kind of endearing, given the level of success. He is clearly not an a-hole. I have never met him, but one of the people I would definitely enjoy a dinner conversation with.

Yeah I agree. Whilst some of the things he says are interesting he is just an insufferable bellend.

I liked the bit when Doug was asking him about his record in high rollers and if the sample of 25 tournaments was too small to be meaningful and Phil did not engage with that point at all and kept changing the subject

Phil acts like a clown but I appreciated that when he took stances on stuff I disagreed with he argued his side in an insightful manner. Also I appreciated that he was willing to just say he didn't know enough about something to comment when that was the case.

I wouldn't of expected those two things before listening.

I am learning GTO thanks to Doug and his channel. I realized what worked 5 years ago doesn't work today. I know there is a skill factor to the chart decision making, so I decided it was stupid to keep old man poker. Doug proved there is a skill factor against Negreanu with charts. Not very many people would beat polk, but 1.2 million. LOL
