No matter what Doug Polk does, he did latch onto something that will be around forever in poker. The more rake is better meme can, and will, be used for lots of different things, and it is funny when you see how many times it can be used in everyday life.

The other thing that will have a future is the "joke chip". Chicago Joey did a show about the hand at The Bike, where the guy tried to take back an all in bet when he was called, calling it a Joke. "it was a joke" is pretty funny, and a tournament with one joke chip per player is funnier yet.

But the more "anything" is better has a great future, and isn't going anywhere, kinda like the " About Three Fiddy" that will never ever die.

Yes, let's blame it on Doug's runbad instead of the obvious misplays and general terribad decision making. Thinking Doug is a lock to win this challenge is absurd. He's run lava hot and still managed to donk off stacks leading to him having to drop down time after time.

Would I bet my networth on Doug failing this challenge? Probably not, but from what I've seen he's not in a very good spot. There seems to be unwarranted opinion that this is a cakewalk for Doug. HELLO!!! He's had over a year to finish this challenge and he's struggling mightily for a supposed poker pro.

Can we at least be objective here. This is 2018 Polk playing poker. There's more leaks in his game than the Titanic. I'm not trying to be harsh on the guy, but he's getting credit for what he's done in the past. This is now!

Thanks for the advice, sir, but I’m not actually trolling. I joined the lab, which is part street gang, part ivy-league level poker education. It is a really good program. Moreover, Doug’s results are public knowledge. We all seen him destroy guys like Dwan, Ivey, Antonius, etc in-line prior to Black Friday. We’ve seen him win multiple bracelets. Sure, a complete donkey, in theory, could kick into a bracelet (Jamie Gold, Jerry Yang), but I’m fairly sure anyone who has won multiple ones is at least solid. Third, we’ve all seen him play cash games on tv at the highest stakes putting guys like Doyle in their place. The man is simply amazing. Great guy to learn from.
