I came up with a more appropriate analogy.

Imagine you want Stock Broker advice....you go to your stock broker's office and he is sitting in his office in a speedo and a tank top. Are you going to trust his advice? Or course not!

Now assume you want Stock Broker advice and you go to your stock broker's office and he is wearing an Ermenegildo Zegna Italian suit and Bruno Magli shoes....Would you trust his advice? Of course!

The same should apply to poker advice! Be the part! Look the part! Act the Part!

I guarantee you will NEVER see Maria Ho do a youtube video in a speedo.

Let me ask you a question. Do you think Doyle Brunson would give poker advice in a tank top? Do you think Jesus would give poker advice in a tank top?

The only person I would take advice from in a tank top is from a beach ware executive. If you are selling beach clothing...wear a tank top. If you are selling poker advice....DRESS APPROPRIATELY!

I liked when Doug and Joey were talking, on Joey’s podcast, about Doug’s run in with Negreanu at a hockey game. Doug explained how he had seats that required him to walk by Negreanu, and when he walked by him Negreanu said’”eww”, or something similar. Joey’s first response to Doug was, “Were you wearing a tank top?”.

Everybody you're discussing is dressing "the part" and "appropriately" for who they are.

Stock brokers and financial advisors dress up in suits meant to give the impression that they have money.

European men wear Speedos because that is traditional European swimming attire.

And poker players, especially online poker players, wear whatever the hell they feel like wearing that day.

This is insane. Apparently all you have to do is wear a suit and you have the big pickles trust for life. You would be so easy to scam . There are a lot of factors you should look into before deciding whether to trust someone, appearance is not high on that list.
