So annoying watching him play these unlimited rebuy and add on tourneys where you can come in with a double buy in, and he only comes in single and doesn't add on . WHY?

I thought the whole point of the challenge was to do it playing cash, but now regs move done to play him, so the self proclaimed #1 hu player who wants to play durrr has to give up and try low stakes mtts. What’s the point of it?

If gonna make a joke of the challenge and wanna stream just play some meaningless stakes

I wanna see him crush HU cash games at the micro levels. That's what made him a name, why not just make it a HU micro challenge. Sit at 5 tables alone at all time and see what kind of HU action he has. I do that myself but 1 at a time, it's tons of fun.

Doug DO THIS!!!

Watching right now & lets be honest, Douglas is an entertaining cat.

And I dont think firing the occasional 30, or even $50, is that reckless considering how soft these tournaments appear to be, & how relatively small the fields are. It's not like he's gotta get through 1000 people here

The BRC has become a bit of a mess IMO, 90% due to only being able to play on one site IMO.

An awesome replacement challenge with some likely big prop bets attached would be if you devoted 2 or 3 weeks solid in Canada or Europe for a ~$1000 to ~$50000 BRC where it's all streamed but your commentary is a small number of hours most days.

You could massively multi table, totally exploit multiple sites' freerolls, bonuses and rakeback and basically STFU everyone who has doubted you.

I think you would cruise through it if well planned out.

1k - 50k in even a month is not doable in a responsible fashion so it wouldnt prove anything

Extra bonuses and freerolls across multiple sites would propel him quickly towards the ~$3K level.

He is still one of the best HU NLHE players in the world so a big edge at low/mid stakes and when his head is on (so not bored or de-motivated by imagining 30 more sessions playing micro small stakes for not much reward) he is a top NLHE MTT player.

But right now his head isn't totally on IMO, sometimes breaking BRM rules, and bad game selection (PLO), and sometimes semi-tilty through boredom.

$250K+ on the line in prop bets would eradicate the above.

Totally disagree with his theory on unlimited re buy and add on tourneys. Those are super deep stacked after the 1st hour, especially the ones with 10 min blinds and no ante for 1st 9 levels. Why wouldn't you want the most chips you can get if you are the best players in it to reduce variance and be able to take a few beats and still be ok.

For example, the deeper ones you get 4k chips for single buy in or 8k for double and then Add on is 8k. If you are just coming in for single buy in and nitting it up and then adding on, you are way being the average stack after the 2 hours.

OTOH, if everyone is playing loose/aggressive in a rebuy because they don't mind firing lots of bullets then there's something to be said for nitting it up and finding generous doubles.

Sure but having 8k vs 4k gets you to 16k on that double.

Can someone explain how supposedly he streams live with no delay, but I am seeing a 5 minute delay on my end on twitch?

It's on a 5 minute delay. The !delay command is a joke. Try !actualdelay

So you are saying there is a 5 minute delay even if the person sets it to no delay?
If they set 2 min. delay then its a 7 min. delay, etc. ?

Because I saw someone streaming poker with zero delay recently, well about 10 seconds.

No. He's just trolling people saying there is no delay. He set the delay to five minutes.

Anyone know what the music is in the background? I dig some of it but refuse to engage in live chats in a livestream.

I just wanted to say that there's comedy, high comedy.... and then there's Doug Polk sitting at a $3 MTT next to a player with the username DougPolksux... and stacking him.

It was a bit like this:

Was sitting with a guy at Harrahs in tahoe last night bragging about playing micros with Doug and beating him. I asked if he was one of the HS end bosses dropping down to f with dp and he loled and said he's just a 25nl player. just thought it was cool that no matter where I play I tend to hear about whatever Doug is doing in the poker world. people get super excited about a little bankroll challenge and it makes them wanna play more and enjoy the game more, pretty awesome

AlphaGo is doing the ad placements. Or just the keyword ‘poker’. I prefer to think AlphaGo is almost alive and has a sense of humor while it waits to rule the world.

Not mad....just amazed. Amazed that old fat European guys walk along a beach in a speedo and think they are so HOT. It's like they are oblivious to reality. Doug Polk does the internet equivalent on youtube, except he wears a tank top instead of a speedo.

Some people look in a mirror and see truth
some people look in a mirror and see 10/10

Obviously, Doug is either oblivious or delusional.

That's why it's important for people to be honest and tell the truth....

How can we watch a doug polk youtube video and concentrate on his poker message when we can't get past the visual horror?
