So they either can't find any sickos willing to make a course mainly because mtts are still alive unlike cash games or HU or they're just not interested in making a good one for various reasons including that going up against RYE's course could be a losing battle. It just sucks that the 6m course gets one of the best players around and the mtt course gets a twitch streamer. No disrespect to the great tonka of course but come on.

I have continued doing weekly poker videos all year. I plan on continuing to do this. Nothing changed over the course of the last couple of weeks.

It has been my stance from the get go that the new channel will take more of my focus, however I value the community that has been built on the other channel and will continue to make content there at a slower pace.

Cryptocurrency could be $0 and I wouldn't be heading back over to the poker channel to bring in the bucks now that I'm "broke".

Although if I was broke you'd probably see me on the MTT circuit

Tonka is the MTT instructor for the Upswing Lab. He is great at relaying information to the audience and is also a solid winning tournament player. He was certainly referencing creating a module for the Lab.

There will be another iteration of the MTT Masterclass, but it's not public yet who will be teaching that course. We generally strive to take in players who are at the absolute top for these courses, and I feel we have generally speaking managed to do that (Me, Jake Abdalla, and Andres Artinano are all undoubtedly within the top 10 of our respective fields; Pratyush and Fernando are also phenomenal players). I would expect something in that wheelhouse for our next coach.

Hi Doug -

I used to play Educa a couple years ago HU and am definitely interested in this course. Is there any other information regarding what this course entails? Is it more tailored to 6max or to HU? I haven't tried any of the upswing vids but as a former RIO diehard I found their vids to have similar ceilings; they would only get so good. Although I obv know Educa is a beast now I'm still wary as to exactly how much more valuable it would be than from any good player making a video. A lot of what separates the top players from the rest of the good players are imo intangibles that they are extremely reluctant to divulge. I guess I am reticent to drop 1k on something that I feel like could be repetitive.

I'm not asking you to tell us what it is going to contain exactly ofc, but I think a breakdown of what sorts of things he is going to be discussing would be helpful for winning players who wonder if he is going to be giving us the real goods.

**if a detailed description exists somewhere and I've just been too lazy to find it, I apologize

We haven't announced the details yet as it's still 2 weeks out, but it's over 30 hours of theory, solver use, and examples/play. The level of detail is fantastic.

It's my understanding that Educa is planning on moving on from playing a lot of poker, so he didn't have any issue with just giving the actual top possible information.

I haven't seen too much of the course, but from what I've seen I believe this will be the best multihanded cash game course ever.

People can **** on him all they want but he's right about Stars ****ing us all. The problem is, I am what I would consider a "serious rec player" and the other sites make me nervous regarding botting, withdrawls, superusers etc. I feel Stars paying back FT customers and the fact I left Poker Ranger open for a session by mistake and got an email about it makes me more comfortable about playing there. They seem to make an effort to keep out cheating. (I know they are unsuccessful in large part but I think they are doing more than other sites. Please correct me if I'm wrong.)

We need someone to start a site and be completely open about how they run it. Open their books to the public. It's counter intuitive for a company but I think players would play there. "Here is how much the rake is, here is where the money goes. X goes to salaries, X goes to marketing, X goes to improving software, X goes to policing. Also we have an independent firm once a year audit our site to look for cheating of any kind. We change the firm every year or two."

They show how much they make and pledge up front that over "X" profits they put it back into poker. TV shows, promotions, sponsors, extra cash in tournaments etc. But they have to be completely transparent. Oh and also run toward regulation like the UFC did. Hell, make a portion of the profits go to lobbyist groups working in pokers favors. They are cock roaches but have them work for you.

I'd play there and the site would make a lot of cash. The online poker world is ripe for a site like this. A lot of money to be made imo.

i like doug's honesty and loved doug roasting that little amaya biatch.

one thing i dislike however is that when doug talks about amaya killing online poker he always brings up spins. spins are not the problem, vanilla spins are beatable at the moment (with a lower variance than mtts) unlike superko or beattheclock. biggest problem is still high effective rake in every game.

Hi everyone, Educa here.

First of all, I want to say thanks to Doug, Ryan and all their team for letting me join their project. I consider Upswing the best place to learn poker because of their unique method of creating just one course per game. I will answer in a general way all your comments.

The course is primarily a 6max NL course, although many of the thinking processes you will find can be used in HU games (and I do so ). As well, I have tried to cover different subgames (FR games, ante games, different rake structures) that will shed some light to the variations of NLH that normally are not explored on other poker training sites.

Regarding the quality of the information, I want to start by saying that I am moving away from playing poker professionally, coaching and staking to other businesses completely unrelated to the poker world (it's not cryptos guys). Almost all of my poker friends/guys I worked with at HSNL have also left poker so I have no incentive to save information.

I have been coaching different players since 2013, always through long term deals where I have been teaching them all I know. It´s not a new thing for me to transmit how I think about poker in a very deep way, and I have been very successful at the coaching part (Most of them have played up to 40k NL, and regularly 10k NL).

Even if buying the course will not convert you in a world class player, it´s the most complete course ever made, and definitely 999$ is a very low price for the information I am giving, compared to the rest of the poker courses available on the market. We wanted to make it very accessible to the average midstakes player.

About RIO and more specifically Sauce´s videos. I have played with him a decent amount during the last years and I consider him a phenomenal player. I also enjoy his videos, however, as I understand 6max NL, his teaching method is too informal and unstructured and doesn’t provide an integral approach to the 6max game. Thus, it will not help you in any significant way to improve your game.

Regarding my English, the course has been verified by several native englėsh speakers, and they have given goodmarks regarding this aspect.
