This rule was introduced mid game

They actually started out by limping then they agreed no open limping

Again the VIPs will be over 35 easy

If it was profitable in a vacuum for pros to play more hands they would be already. Some already are but for the ones who aren't forcing them to get over this number is absolutely making them play worse.

You think pros are currently folding hands that if you forced them to play would be profitable for them? That makes no sense.

I'm not saying VIP is the stone barometer of being a bit or not but it's something.

I mean in the 5/5 100 ante games (and things of that structure) it's a joke bc Verticci will limp fold garbage to get his vpip up but in a normal structure it's a good for the game rule.

It's all relative.

This game will only last until the whale realizes the sharks have nibbled off too much of him and he can’t swim.

To anyone who watch poker streams, you are the nit.

Well if you're one of those folks that play over half the deck yes you would consider me a nit

Pretty damn impressed with this stream!

Watch almost the entire Episodes 2 & 3 on YouTube a couple days after they aired. Some big names that people would want to watch.

-The nit penalty thing is great. I don't even care if it makes players limp to try to artificially up their VPIP. It might not be as severe a penalty as if below 35% but it certainly isn't +EV and still inflates pots. The entertaining recs you want in the games are almost always over this number anyway, OMC type recs aren't wanted anyway.

-pace of play and time chips, alarms, etc are pretty darn good. After over 10 hours or watching I didn't see anything where I thought someone was taking way too long and also couldn't think of a time when a player seemed rush and forced to act before ready

-Eric Pearson was great. We all know he can be good action and loud. He seemed to play well, play solid, not try to show off playing crazy. Also not try to "bigtime" anybody or at like a bigshot running the games. He just kind of blended in perfectly.

-to piggyback off Eric above, they had solid rules but also showed willingness to make changes on the fly to the rules as long as players all agreed, which was great. So it wasn't anything goes, but also weren't stubborn if the rules weren't working. Examples would be the not open limps on day 3 of the quick change in blinds when it got shorthanded.

-personally I had no problem with the color schemes and I really liked the table shape and size

-the commentator Jaffe was annoying to me at first but quickly started liking him more and more. At first he was forcing it talking about how great the action was before the action even got good, and the constant "terminator" thing was pretty damn annoying. Another annoying thing was talking about how amazing it was to get this kind of entertainment for free! As if that was novel or generous. The main competitor they are going after, HCL is free! So it sounded kind of stupid to me, would have made more sense if HCL was not free and then BigBet started free to differentiate themselves. That was day 2 , don't think I heard that day 3 so maybe someone got in his ear sooner on that issue.
That being said Jaffe was a ****ing machine!! Not breaks 6 hours straight , 2 days in a row, not many silent stretches. Pretty damn amazing.

-other small tech issues, like the sound and hearing voices in the backround, not from the table.

Overall pretty damn impressive. Lets see if they can keep it up.

They also got a bit lucky Sathoush!! Guy playing nearly every hand vs some of the best players in the world and ran great two straight days for high stakes, pretty damn entertaining but will be almost impossible to replicate.

Im not, I would definitely be seen as a nit if I played my normal game on TV. But I fully understand why they want to dissuade play like that for a live stream.

Good test today with a bunch of relative nobodies compared to last week. All things considered their production is pretty damn impressive. Jaffe doing great job letting players be heard, then stepping in when quiet, which is rare.

Full discretion : I'm working on the computer with the stream on the TV (YouTube) So I'm basically just listening and watching occasionally. Used to do this with MLB while working. So not really looking for anything fast paced and action packed or I wouldn't be able to get any work done.

I watched about 15 minutes each of 3 episodes, and is it just me, or is their target audience kind of macho *******s? Hard to put my finger on it, but I'm getting a scumbag vibe from Persson, some of the commentary, the advertisement with the sexy lady soliciting rich guys with little dicks or whatever the joke is there... I'll definitely give it a shot, watch a few more, but that is my initial impression.

To save me from watching the entire five hours, was the ad built into the video? Or was it a YouTube-generated mid-roll ad?

If it's the latter, bear in mind that the ads YouTube inserts before, during and after videos are based on the user's viewing/search history, websites you visit, etc. In other words, such an ad would say more about what you like to see rather than what Big Bet wants to show.

But to your larger point, I've found poker TV/streaming content traditionally geared toward the general macho douchebro type, which is why many of the shows' aesthetics and theme music often evoked bad 80s hair metal. It's actually one of the things I like about Triton Poker's streams: they opted for a classy, maybe even posh vibe to their product.

The ad was part of the stream for sure.

And I agree, Triton manages a very classy vibe.

People offended by that AD would mindplode if they went to my local Walmart. I regularly see women with over half ass cheeks showing.

Not sure if you are still doing it but please don't add uncalled last bet into the pot size in the time stamps.

I'll bring that up to TPTB.

They are going by the graphics machine which records the pot size as the bets go in, which is the only way it can work, but I understand and agree with the request. It will depend on how much time the person that manages the YT account has to review the hands.

I'll try to ask the software developers to see if they can write code that backs out uncalled final bets at the end of the hand.

What is with this civilized and intelligent suggestion and response. This is the internet goddamit. Your supposed to blow the issue way out of proportion the videopro is supposed to feel attacked personally and respond unprofessionally.
