Self-Quarantine candlelight reading LIVE in 1 hour for the 1976 classic poker book Super System by
Doyle Brunson. Doug Polk says this book is more fiction than the Bible - let's see for ourselves how applicable it is in today's poker climate.

It's interesting to see how, in plain English, Doyle captured a number of theoretical ideas and concepts decades before game theory and GTO. It shows how an observant human mind with deep lived experience, along with real reflection. can come up with strategies without punching them through a problem solver. Yes, not all of his ideas are correct—the stuff about ESP seems too out there—but I think there's a lot of wisdom in that book.

To be honest, I read the book quickly 15 years ago right when I started playing poker, but it took just about that long to absorb many of those ideas through live play and (often painful) experiences.

Reading through this book now, I see how far ahead of his time Doyle was. Can you imagine how much better he must have been than just about everyone in the world in the 1960s?

Must be a good time for on line poker training sites given that on line poker is one of the few "professions" that can carry on as normal right now, with the player pool likely increasing too.

How good does Doug Polk run in life?

Why is so difficult for u to spell the word online correctly? It is written everywhere and u mist have seen it written a million times. It's online not on line. Lfao

U must be on tilt if I am correct.

It is a far smaller error than the many, many people on this forum who spell lose as "loose" (as in the opposite of win) and keep confusing the word then with than.

E.g. They type, "well, it is better then losing your whole stack".

So quite a lot of poor literacy on this forum, which incidentally doesn't mean someone is unintelligent, it just means that literacy is not one of their strengths.

Hey Joey! Messaged you on skype and on facebook regarding some extremely messed up happening on 888poker. Hit me back when you get a change/are interested in helping the community out a bit. I'd rather talk it through in private before making a thread here.
