Cumicon is a character for sure (or as someone in youtube chat said: Jungleman 2.0).. Greatly enjoyed the episode, Joey did a good job keeping it going and Cumicon was still entertaining (and for sure very interesting) even though he clearly is somewhat socially awkward. So shoutout for Cumicon for going on a public forum like that even though he's likely very aware of his own social shortcomings and that internet trolls will make fun of him

Best part was probably him roasting Polks huplo game lol

by watching that pod it seems like he needs to start living a somewhat normal life ,over 5 years he probably hasnt spoken to many people for that length of time,he does need to build up the social skill im sure that will take time...it sort of is like he went to prison totally put his "life" on hold to become a millionare

That old PokerTableRatings stuff sounds hilarious how you can leave comments for people.

Needs a revival imo.

Tough interview for reasons that I think are self-evident but you did the best you could, Joe, to try to pry out some answers.

I've wondered about the benefits of having a rather flat affect as a poker player, especially for those who play higher variance variants (i.e. PLO). In cumicon's case, it seems clear (and he acknowledged as much) that his emotional control was a distinct advantage over other players.

I wish I had some emotional control when playing.

Gonna be bold now: Get DNegs on the pod again.

But how will we know what Doug's been up to the whole week? And what kind of exciting new courses Upswing might offer us?

I for one would miss the huge announcements of when new T-shirt’s are available.

Always interesting to see the crushers, thanks Joey and Cumicon. Not so sure about the state of the viewer base though, human filth galore in that chat box.

I just want to say that the last two podcasts with Doug have been really enjoyable and maybe the funniest yet. The fact that Doug's a guest that everyone is familiar with is a bit of an advantage imo, as there is no need for a long backstory/introductory questions.

Those things are fine and interesting with new guests but it is also nice to have the occasional podcast where it's less structured and more free-flowing entertaining poker banter/BS/trolling and Doug and Joey seem to have the right amount of chemistry/experience and personality to pull it off.

I for one would enjoy watching these shows bi-weekly(or w/e) .

Cumicon has a clear pathological personality disorder, it's normal for the viewers to react on this.

Great pods Joey!

You and Doug have great chemistry! Have you two ever considered starting a show?

Maybe call it Poker-Talk? or Table-Chat?

Best Wishes!

Most of you are such ****s. Don't listen to them cumicon / joey, I thought the interview was really interesting and refreshingly genuine & honest.

I really enjoyed the podcast with Cumicon. It was very sobering to hear how an individual pursued success through online poker, became one of the biggest winners online, but on his path towards greatness became even more isolated and now doubts that his monetary success was worth the personal sacrifices.

Thanks Cumicon for putting yourself out there, best of luck. I struggle with social anxiety and can't imagine doing a podcast like this.

In my experience, a fairly significant percentage of poker players are quite weird, usually in an interesting and quirky way, not in a bad way.

From what I see on social media and on forums, there also seems to be a high incidence of mental health problems too affecting pro or semi-pro players.

My take is that pre-existing weirdness when coupled with playing an unhealthy amount of poker, can often result in some mental health issues that either never existed before poker, or before poker were on a very low level so caused no real issues for the person.

I have a similar take about guys who post walls of text in NVG all day.
