He really seemed like he had some kind of mentally aggressive problem and suggest gambling isn't the place for him to be around. Mjw told me who he was on here (I assumed he was a high stakes reg from his conversation speaking about how I don't understand X, Y or z in poker etc) but then when I searched the name given to me I was pretty sad to see this.

I don't like seeing poker doing this to people, but delusional people can really just cling onto that hope of a big score that will give them the roll to play the games they "know they can beat" or to prove to backers that they should play higher.

I Blocked OP on skype, but sincerely I suggest you get medical help or speak to somebody. Addressing your issues and tackling them in the long term will be a way more productive way than blaming others or clinging onto an unrealistic dream.

I hope you make the right decision.

Yeah and you can whine some more like you did in Jaime's twitch thread saying how he sucks and everything else while in the same breath trying to promote your up and coming micro-stakes stream. That issue aside, it sounds like you should just stick to playing poker for fun and let Joey invite his own guests on the podcast.

Hour into the livb pod so far.. great stuff. It's pretty ridiculous imo for people to witch-hunt for PEDs. The guy claims he didn't, and gained 5lbs in 6mos after adding creatine and training hard without excessive cardio. He looked good before the training, and looked even better for the fight. It's all pretty congruent to me.

I enjoy these pods with guests that can not only share inside into their poker life but also their experiences in life and what got them to their current state of existence.
Olivier was an excellent guest! Would love to see him on again down the road!

+1

It is funny how the fight thread is full of people putting up Liv's huge weight gain as a strawman and then attacking it as clearly PED fueled. Then you find out that he gained 5 pounds in 6 months. Reading NVG, seemed like he gained 50 pounds of muscle. Nothing like world-class detectives skipping the little detail of him not really gaining any significant weight before proving that his huge gain had no non-PED explanation and then making 100's of posts speculating how he cheated.

I made it about 3 hours into the cast, so far. Olivier came off really well, and it was a super thoughtful conversation. Nice job to both of you guys for being entertaining and coming off great. Really liked the part where he stood up for JC taking a ton of punishment and persevering -- getting hit in the face until bloody makes you want to quit, and JC hung in for a long while when a lot of people would have quit or just been knocked out. Props all the way around.

Nice podcast
If Durrrr is still playing in that big of games he has imo a very good chance of getting very rich. He has Billionaire backers with good connections that can get him into the biggest, fishiest games in the world. A year or two goes by, Durrrr gets out of debt and goes on a massive 100MM up swing and is back on top. Huge whales is where the big money has to be. Playing for millions in softer games then 5cent/10cent online.

Assuming how Bilzerian made it happen. Few hundred K monthly allowance just finally ran it up in worst games than 2002 PP

just lol at this narrative. can hardly compare bread and butter 1/2 thru 5/10 to online let alone the games durrrr plays.

[1] See here for old games & also you can watch the new ones as they happen: http://www.globalpokerleague.com/videos/

Note the ribbon at the top of the page which gives the schedule of upcoming fixtures dates/times - it scrolls horizontally using the arrow

[2] This is the better option in my opinion: https://www.twitch.tv/gpl

Make sure to click the "follow" button beneath & to the left of the video window for that Twitch channel & set it so you get email notifications of games starting!
Note this shows all fixtures below the video window all on the one page

Podcast update for le month

Today at 4pm EST: Assani Fisher....Older school poker player turned high stakes DFS endboss If this episode is anything similar to the video blogs he does, it will be full of wisdom.

Tomorrow at 5pm EST: Doug Polk....Having Doug back on the pod to discuss how the last month+ has gone with his adventure into streaming high stakes on Twitch and with his website. Will also discuss more of the current HU ecosystem and his future in poker

No exact date yet this month: Justin Bonomo, Fedor Holz, High %-Alex Scott (Microgaming Poker CEO), hopefully will get something on with Tommy Angelo. I have a bunch of other names in mind with a pretty high likelyhood as well but nothing certain to announce right now. Going to try to crush it while we go into WSOP this summer. I'm not sure what the plan is for WSOP yet in terms of live podcasts but I'm mentally preparing to do many more than I did last year out there.

Sounds like the most exciting guest this month to me! A CEO of a decent network would engage in talking to/listening to the players in a casual format. Who else does that?

To give a bit more backstory on Alex Scott- He started with WPT 11 years ago, worked in various roles at Pokerstars, Started at FTP 2 months before Black Friday and then started with Microgaming after. His official title is Head of Poker (I think everyone is CEO lol). He is responsible for everything that happens with poker at Microgaming.

What first put me on to Alex was the blog posts he writes which are not like much else I've read

This one about How to Value Poker Players is excellent: http://www.mpn.poker/blog/value-poker-players/

Seat Scripts:
http://www.mpn.poker/blog/scripts/

Parasites & Rake:
http://www.mpn.poker/blog/parasites-and-rake/

You can find all of the posts here :
http://www.mpn.poker/author/alexscott72o/

I thought it was amazing and refreshing how open he was being in discussing topics that we all wonder about and speculate but ultimately don't have much of an idea about coming from the operator side of things.

Then I found out that MPN rake at micro stakes is RIDICULOUSLY cheaper than all the other sites that exist right now. I'm def super excited to have him on to talk more about this stuff. I will be trying not to upset the PR people

This will actually take place May 16th 3pm EST

Haven't listened to the pod yet, but just FYI this is very congruent to my relationship with him-- we used to play basketball together frequently, pre-ACL he was one of the most athletic people I've ever played pickup with (he can't shoot though). He used to routinely go into the chest of my friend who is 6'3 210 and in shape and was just too strong for him. I'm scrawny but I used to try to foul him on the way to the basket and he'd just finish through me.

On top of that, I'd find him lifting BEFORE playing basketball (pretty much an unheard of thing for anyone planning to make shots, but speaks to his dedication to the beach bod. He was probably skipping some leg days). I didn't really think he looked bigger at the time of the fight than he did 1 year ago ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
