These last plays of Robl's is the most insane thing I've ever seen. Correctly puts in 100k pre with K2s vs Persson then correctly folds flop. Mega c/shove with 97s to take it down with 20% vs Youngs superdraw, and now checks back a set of kings and folds to river bet?

The KK river fold was impressive but I think the commentators overreacted.

A recreational player leads on the river when a flush and straight are in play, and the pot was 4ways to the flop. What bluffs does Rob actually have there? Hands with A of clubs even though they rivered top pair? QTss? What else?

The fold looks crazy, but he just knows his customer and his been in this spot many times vs recs at these stakes.

lol ya that was absolutely savage, he looked like he was about to cry. took immense discipline to lay down the QQ at the end of one of them, I thought he was gonna lose another 100k on top.

My memory of Robl when he was coming up on the Internet (as "good2cu") and on TV cash games from yesteryear is quite the opposite, he always seemed well bankrolled and not one to ever be pushed around. He did a sick double float/shove vs Matt Kirk in a huge game around 2015 that was great to watch. Should be noted he staked JRB for years as well (Which JRB acknowledged when he made an appearance tonight, calling him his "former boss"). I do however also remember him tanking for an eternity vs Tony G on "The Big Game".

FWIW, Robl and durrrr were both 21 when they first appeared with sbrugby on PAD as internet poker superstars. That was 15 years ago. Even before that Galfond was on HSP when he was 21 or 22. I doubt anyone of them is still like they were back then.

Anyone have some thoughts on how big the stand up game should play?

I feel like a lot of streamed games have the stand up game play too small relative to the blinds. Although to be fair, it seems like a lot of players, even pros, are mistakenly way overadjusting to it. So many people massively increase the number of hands they play pre flop and dramatically increase their bluffing and bluff catching frequencies. When it probably should only change your ranges by a few percentage points.

I'd like to see the standup game should cost the loser 10bb per player.
