Yes

edit: To actually cause some discussion, here are my completely personal guesses:

I think both Staple brothers, Lex, Fintan, and Spraggy all are +EV in any 500bi and lower. Probably not +EV in weekday 1k and 2k's, but likely +EV in larger field (softer) ones.
Tonkaa prob +EV in anything other than the hardest 10k's and up (like, the regularly running sick 10k's on party might be the cut-off for his skill level?)
BBZ prob +EV in almost anything but the toughest 25k's or something

No clue of Pav

seems kinda obvious that they are? just because they're not absolute top wizards doesn't mean they're losing players

Don't know about them but wondering why gjreggie is stars pro. Or atleast was when I checked last time. And she is commentating some hs mtts when she is just bloody awful.

Spraggy was allso pretty much b/e before opting out from scope.

Not sure why it's 'kinda obvious'.

I like that Matt Staples posts his bankroll. He has a few big scores and then breaks even / bleeds away money slowly until another bink. No idea about his brother.

Pav is at least transparent too about his winnings/losses.

No idea about Lex (yes, I know he won a lot yesterday) and Fintan but would love to see their results. They're sponsored players so can sit in bigger tournaments without having the results.

Easterdamnz seems like he crushes too but hard to tell without seeing graphs.

the age-old debate. 10 years ago these threads were made about FTP pros

I know this may be new information to some, but if a person is entertaining enough to become a personality, poker sites may be interested in them.

I assume most of the people butthurt about this are just unsatisfied with their own life. Become more entertaining and start a twitch channel, and you too may reap the rewards.

If someone is selling their services as a coach or making big claims about how they crush, that's one thing. Having GJReggie's graph handy to complain when a thread like this pops up? Serious incel vibes.

Isn't this pretty much every tournament player?

In fairness, I think the OP was probably more curious than butthurt, but I agree with your post overall – particularly when it comes to sponsored players.

Another recurring conversation in poker forums concerns the composition of the ideal WSOP Main Event final table. What lineup would be best for TV? (Okay, maybe not that common now, but it certainly came up a lot in the late 2000s.) The general consensus was for a mix of well-known pros plus a couple Moneymaker types of Everyman. Why the latter? The hope was that their presence brings in the casual fans, and more importantly, could help draw new players to the game.

So yeah, pretty amusing that in a world where we have a term "Moneymaker Effect," there are still people who don't get why a poker site would ever pursue a non-crusher who happens to be a good ambassador for the game.

Spraggy made a ton of money from cash and other live events he was up over $300,000 before he started streaming. Yes his mtts haven't gone that great but if he cut out $530s + he would be winning. GJ Reggie and Spraggy are twitch sponsored players. They are not stars "pros". There is a difference.

Yeah I know that about spraggy used to watch him play the og bankroll challenge way back. Doing handstands with his buddies etc. Prolly should have mentioned it. That I didn't know they are streamer pros so it kind of makes sense. Even reggie is getting pretty small audienve imo.

And I have big respect for spraggy. He really put the effort in when he started to stream. Took every single chance to make the channel bigger. He did stuff with party, pokervip, pokertube etc and put in solid hours every month. And it finally paid off big time.

Rofl. You mad your crush got criticed? Op asked if they are winning players and reggie most def isn't and she is a streamer. And allso I didn't have it I screenshotted it from scope today. Jesus christ you need to relax. If someone is hurt in the butt it's definetely you.

E Arlie Shaban seems to be a winning player. And no I didn't have this graph either I just remembered him.

Fintan has been a poker pro for years pre stream and is definitely winning big enough this year.
