Are you not allowed to use VPN when you play on PokerStars? Is that what you mean? I have my VPN on all the time, but I don't jump in to countries where it's not okay when I'm logged in to Stars.

i had a similar issue being unable to connect to the sportsbook side of their services from china and they told me it was ok to vpn in from hk or uk to access that side of things
if you vpn in without notifying them you will get flagged but you can get put on an exception list or whatever - mind you this may not be official policy but it's what support told me to do and it worked - they were very clear though that i make sure i was never representing a us connection because that would cause major problems
