Yes, Lex used to be a good CG player. Once uppon a time. Not sure how new you are, but the games got so much harder over the last decade. And "CG back then" has nothing to do with the fact that these days he pretty much refuses to take the play postflop when playing MTTs (even deepstacked). That doesn't change the fact that he's hiding his results either.

I stand by what I said: he's not making a living playing poker, he's making a (probably good) living rep'ing PS and streaming. To achieve that, he needs to pretend he does a lot better than he really does, though.

Not sure why you're so emotionally invested when it comes to Lex. He's not exactly the first person making a buck streaming and pretending he's something he's not really. But it's only fair for me to be real about it.

Finally someone besides me smart enough to realise how bad lex is. I think whats really funny is Lex was actually an Elite and stars ****ed him over bigtime and he wont even go into debate at how bad stars fd over their players.

Also like you said he doesnt play postflop, he will late reg then jam fest and re enter a ton he doesnt play poker, he just hopes to get lucky, then when he gets deep he just plays push fold. Bounty tourneys? 10x worse, ive seen him lose 130 blinds chasing a min bounty. I watch because its hilarious

Hey why is it always"lex runs bad" but its never"lex plays bad" in the chat? so funny.

Iam seeing him play more post flop now since BENCB[RYE] has been coaching him. But you are right on the bounty/pko tournys, he does go after those bounties "aggressively" in the early stages when its just not the right time for it.

Re: Lex Veldhuis

Why do people keep subbing to this obvious shill?
He's an okay player, but shilling for pokerstars & RYE etc way too much.
Chat as a whole is a brainwashed herd that glorifies Lex & would buy anything he sells to them.
Ridiculous.
A+ business twitch is.

So far in SCOOP he is way down I think. He mentioned that he was down more than 30k after the weekend ;_;

This is probably not good for his mindset.

You can double that number. He was down 30K just for the weekend.

His mindset, along with his running, was good enough to make the day 2 of two $1 million gtd tournaments yesterday.

13th. Furious at his bad luck.

The 2 hours I watched he got it allin bad 3 times out of 3. Won all 3.

Finally calls a preflop Allin with Q10 on BB and loses to SB's K5. He had 16bigs.

There would have been a lot more reason to be jealous if he was winning. What most people took offense with is that up until a few months ago he was saying things like 'you can be printing money if you invest in my 1K Thrusday Thrill'. I respect him a lot more now he just admits that he's a losing player in 1K's+ and plays them for stream value.

No idea what you are talking about. I havnt played micro stakes in over a decade like that makes a difference.

What part of my message that you quoted do you disagree with exactly?

Also I bet Lex has lost alot more money than I have at poker. He is a streamer not a pro poker player

Re: Lex Veldhuis

Where did he finish in the $55+R PLO I didn't see the end of it. He said yesterday on stream he was down 70K for the week. I think the previous week he was down 30k so he could have been down 100K for the series before today's play.

3rd for 14K. He's really good at PLO and his results show that, like up ~100K over the past 2 years with multiple big final tables.

So what? If you enjoy the streams, watch them, and if you don't then don't.

based on what?

im not a hater, but his biggest PLO score is $42967, and his second biggest PLO score is this recent 14k. his 3rd biggest PLO score is 5k from 8 years ago.

probably you see that number from some sort of tracking site that confuse "winnings" with profit, i don't think it is possible to be that much up with these kind of "small" scores playing 1050s, 2100s, 5200s every series. that's a lof of buyins.

Re: Lex Veldhuis

5 minutes into his Day 2 of the 1k. Calls 4x preflop with J6, flops J high, barrels to river and gets raised allin and folds. None of his bets made any sense and his river bet is arguably the worst bet I have ever seen in a high stakes MTT. Loses half his stack and bemoans his luck and losing his temper at chat for suggesting he played it wrong. Bizarre.

https://clips.twitch.tv/FineAffluentDoveGrammarKing

Would love to know how much money he has set on fire over the last 5 years.

FWIW I sat beside lex years ago at an ept, and he spewed every possible hand worse then imaginable , no coaching could save him from the stupidity of burning 10k as bad as that

Re: Lex Veldhuis

He used to be good back when poker was a LOT softer. He fell behind, but is massively bankrolled by PS as their "online poster boy" these days is all.

There is a reason he's hiding his results. Why would he ever do it if he had something impressive to show.

He's still better than I (and many here) ever was, but still a dog in any ~$300+ tournament. I have no problem many viewers like to watch him as he's an okay'ish streamer and high stakes tournaments can be somewhat entertaining to watch on a second monitor or something, but you've gotta be delusional to think he makes money from poker directly. His business model is getting money from PS to promote their site, as well as some money from donations/subs.

Which is perfectly fine, by the way. Just that anyone that thinks Lex is killing it as a poker player should be laughed at.

More like 250K in buyins and 150K in cashes = 100K down. Just 80K and counting for SCOOP alone.

Where do you see up 150k?

Looks like just cashes to unless I’m missing something

If that’s the case he would be a massive loser

Also someone said he was down 70k so far during scoop?
