Would be very nice if some HS reg writes here about that hand for plebs like us
Im also curious about what better players will say. I ran HRC for icm and inputed all of the stack sizes left in the mtt and messed around with the opening range of veaaa (changing it from conservative to very loose given the dynamic of the $ bubble) and even best case scenario where veaa is opening almost ATC the AJo shove is super marginal.

AJ shove is fine theoretically knowing veaaa and how aggressive he will abuse the bubble. That is giving the 1st dollar Lex can win in this tournament equal value as the dollars of 1st prize which probably isn't true in his financial situation.

*coming from a profitable $70 abi player, no HS crusher.

Because he's almost certainly a -ev player in the tournament it's a fine play. You can't pass up edges if you're a losing player.

From his instragram story today: "BenCB told me that the AJ shove in the 10K was correct"

just now he was playing a plo8 tourney and admitted he didn't understand how the low part of the hand works! lol and he is a pro?

Damn, he's crushing Quarver's numbers now. It'd be interesting to know how much a guy like Lex is making from streaming because, combined with the crazy donations he gets, it's probably still profitable to play all the high stakes stuff in the grand scheme of things. I swear he had over 15k viewers the other day, & he never seems to have less than 5k.

Is he still tight with highstakes guys from a decade ago? It wouldnt shock me if these 4-figure donations are from guys like D-Negs kicking back on his couch & enjoying the show.

If not, he'd have had to move down a looonnnng time ago, lets be honest. It sounds like it's at the point where even a couple of big scores wouldnt dent this 'downswing'.

And I gotta say, it is a little cringey to hear him shill 'Raise Your Edge' so hard, when he's stuck like $150k @ an average buying of 100 or $200.

The top donator by far is a trust-fund girl.

I watch the youtube videos, not the live stream. Are people really donating like 4 figures in pure cash or sub gifts?? If so, why?? Its free to watch ffs

I am just interested why is that? I read somewhere on 2p2 that he helped, motivated etc some rich people, and because of that there are big donations from certain people. Like what did he do for her?

^^
While he's making fun of it it's mostly true and just public info: she regularly says on stream that he helped her through tough times. That's a common theme among the large donators.

Serious questions:
Why is it alyays runbad and not play bad?
how long does he have to lose for it to be considered the norm?

I realize that it's better for his stream, and his bottom line, to be a loser at high stakes than be a winner at mid stakes mtt's, but it would probably be better for his state of mind to drop down low enough to where he's actually a winning player.

I think that he is a very smart guy, and a good player, but he is running bad and getting outplayed.

Apparently losing over and over is an "inspiration" to a lot of people though, so I guess he knows what he's doing.

I was watching his stream about a week ago and I heard him say, "This community is about niceness and gifting" ... lol

It is wrong if he gets to advertise himself as a HS player due to donations that allow him to play big events in which he is not ev+.
He then can promote and be sponsored by other companies like pokershares, RYE, etc... while none of this would really happen if he kept playing low-mid buyins.

Same thing happened to Jaime Staples and I'm sure the same thing happens to tonka and a bunch of other streamers. Bottom line is this: it's bad for business to reveal losing graphs (which is why they all go to great lengths to hide their results) and fanboys will never admit their heroes are playing bad, no matter how much you try to rationalize with them.

If he wasn't streaming, I'm sure he would have dropped down to mid stakes a long time ago.

He told that he hid graphs because of people who could troll him and stream. Also added that everyone can go to his stream and ask him how is he doing and how are his results and he'll answer frankly.

Lex lying again to deceive investors.

https://clips.twitch.tv/SuspiciousRe...rebirdDansGame

"I have a 16K score on PokerShares and multiple scores over 10K."

In reality he has just 1 score of 10K since working with PokerShares. It's sad how far Lex will go to make extra income while he already makes nice money off Twitch without the lying and deceiving.

The tells are huge so he probably is aware he's lying.

Bouton says that when a person closes his eyes for a second or two, this may indicate he’s lied to you, since this is a type of defense mechanism. Normally, he explains, a person will blink at a speed of 100 to 400 milliseconds, or 0.10 to 0.40 of a second.

When you ask a normal, right-handed person about something he’s supposed to have seen, if he looks upward and to his left, he’s truly accessing his memory of the incident,” Bouton says. “However, if he looks upward and to his right, he’s accessing his imagination, and he’s inventing an answer.
