He also never 3bets less than a premo and constantly overshoves and doesnt know proper 4bt sizing. I think hes worse than Carver and thats tough to say.

Did any of you guys see how bad he played hu in the thrilla? He was open limping 10-4 and j4 on buttons and checking behind 883 flops... its the easiest minbet in the world and he wouldnt fire them it was hilarious. to watch. Lex needs to step into the lab. Boggles my mind how he thinks he owned that guy hu.Complete indenial

He got gifted over 30k and doesnt realisse it and will cry and complain in 3 weeks when he loses 15k or so. Youll see. His style is losing poker and longterm hes toast. He needs to stick with PLO

Lex has massive leaks. IF there was a way to bet, id bet that Lex loses 30k in December. I know poker well and can assure you that Lext is just god awful. He really is terrible and is nothing but a stone cold degenerate.

He literally suckedout a ton in everygame he won, and ill list one example.
He was in the 10k bounty builder and a guy shoved allin for 45k chips at 1250 2500 level and had a min 2500 bounty. Everyone folded to Lex in the Big blind and he called with Q10 thinking it was standard and it was half his remaining stack. So negative EV there virtually calling off your tourney life when you know you are behind to pickup a min bounty. RIsking over 10k in equity to pickup 2500 is just not profitable... the actual chipstack is worth way more and he doent get it.

He also reshoves 80 big blinds countless times to "isolate a bounty" then thinks hes unlucky when someone "wakes up behind" and his K10 is dead to 3 outs. Lex is horrific and got bailedout a dozen times to get his recent success. Lex is going to lose over 30k if hes not smart enough to move down. His degen style wont win longterm

Lex needs to also step in the lab. The funny part is he thinks hes aggro when hes not, hes a nit who rarely bluffs. god i can pick him apart all day. I cant wait to see him complain about runbad in a week, when normal variance hits his cocky self

oh yah lol@ you saying he murked a 10k buyin when he mincashed
oh yah lol@ you comparing lex to fedor who is lightyears ahead of lex
oh yah lol@ you calling him a plo endboss. he quit cuz he cant compete with the competition

soooooo dillisional,

He just had 2 losing days in a row and cries about runbad, its not runbad Lex you are just way outta place. Like i said December he will lose 30k, most likely more if he doesnt step back

Its not standard to constantly play a bounty builder and calloff your stack over and over to go for a bounty when ur never ever ahead and he never stops doing it. Its pretty funny
man WhatsUpGuys is so salty. Show us on the dolly where Lex touched you.

Re: Lex Veldhuis

Lex Veldhuis fans: Pokershares just offered its own Lex section where you can buy pieces of him for all of his tournaments. Want to sweat a high stakes tournament while watching him on Twitch? Guess I'll be heavily investing in Lex for his daily grinds

Please support Lex. One of the truly good guys in poker helping grow this game to new frontiers. JCarver was the innovator who has passed the torch onto Lex. 2 Legends in their own right when it comes to promoting, streaming and attracting new players.

Lex gets touched all the time. After this hand he asked, "Did you misclick", and the other guy LOL responded, "no, I had a pair".

Yeah, this what makes streams unwatchable for me & was a MASSIVE factor of what made Carver - & now to a less extent, Staples - successful. Are they the best players in the World? No. But the atmosphere is conducive to relaxing watching so you can easily have it on in the background.

Whinging about standard variance just makes it unwatchable, especially as these tourney guys seem to forget just much luck they r relying on in the short run. Same with Tonka - its just impossible to listen to a guy play with a sour attitude. And they're not even running that bad, its ridiculous. Also agree re some of the points referring to Lex's HU & bounty strategy.

I'm biased towards wanting to watch cash, but Doug Polk was the best blend of top level play & good attitude. He'd troll with the chat but never whinge like a *****.

Nanonoko & Brokenstars from this forum are also a decent watch but they hardly ever stream, & if they do it's the middle of the night my time.

Good point about Polk. I don't really like the guy, seems a bit full of himself but obviously an amazing player and I have never seen him complain about a bad beat.

A few things I am wondering.

How many tables at a time does Lex play. You guys critisize the mistakes
but if he's playing like 10 games and following the stream chat, he's going
      to make mistakes.

As far as being angry. I can't think of anyone who wouldn't get angry at some point playing online poker day and night. I suppose you need to try and keep that in check for streaming, but can be difficult.

How much money do these guys get for streaming? I suppose if its alot, they probably should do a better job of controlling their emotions.

I've never seen a streamer with a Hud? Do they use them or do they just not appear on the video. Never seen Lex with one

Lex doesnt use a HUD. Streamers can choose whether or not to show theirs.

Unsubbed because of the constant whining, like he should be entitled to winning 70/30 situations every time. Been watching his streams regularly and theres the obviously occasional pretty **** sesh but in general he runs average/above. In any case he has done very well this year so as a viewer to me it's obnoxious. Even when he recoups a lost sesh with some win in a tournament he wasn't very interested in there's the "I'm supposed to be ****ing happy with this????"

He flipped out cause BB called with J8o, and bb's gutter crushed his flopped set on the turn where the money went in.
slammed me for saying "lol that literally happened to me about 3 times today"

went on a 4 min rant on bringing all that negativity into the chat, and we should talk about other stuff.

okay then thnxbye. I only supported him cause I was getting good value from watching him play PLO anyway.

Oh yeah and as pointed out. his stream is being modded like a Russian newspaper. Seen it so many times, people question his plays and then he flips out in like a "who the f are you to question me" "yes im sure in a 1 dollar tournament this is the correct play".
So only pole riding in the chat pretty much. Tonkaaap runs like 10x as bad on a given day and there are very few times where he ( justifiably ) flips out about it.

LOL are seriously you're comparing Tonkaaaap to Lex's stream. Apples to oranges. Parker had a good thing going when he first started streaming unfortunately he got tired of the grind which he why he takes month long breaks and only stream like 1 or 2 days a week now. He's effectively a lightweight now. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if he permanently makes the move to Sweden, it's where his girlfriend lives.

Not gonna lie, almost had a panic attack not being able to watch Lex while his stupid internet crapped out. Glad he made the move to a better spot where I can get my Veldhuis fix for the day. I could have the crappiest day at work, but knowing I can sit back and relax to some guaranteed final table runs makes life easier to cope to. God, I love Lex, greatest thing to happen on Twitch poker ever!

I agree with that, and that's also why I have been watching Lex more, but I just find Parkers stream more entertaining and background chill. I mostly watch poker streams when i'm grinding mtts myself, so I get some background distraction, yet keep the focus on poker.
I get that with Parker, and he plays good tunes as well so that's an added bonus.

With Lex it's like a lot of crying and throwing hissy-fits, and that's not what I find relaxing. Plus I get eye-strain from rolling them so much.

I like Jamie but he is a little bit too positive and Kevin is even worse with constant the "let's go!"s that I can't go there.

Parker is like right dab in the middle, overal chill guy and doesn't take himself or the chat too serious.

Just a matter of taste I guess.

Lex is on a 40k downswing like i said would happen last time i posted here, its only going to get bigger and bigger.

The truth is Lex has had over 100k gifted to him, he literally should have won 5k in both tourneys he won 50k+ in one and 40k in other. He wont ever remember getting a 2 outter worth 40k.

He just said"this is how ive been running" "it never ends" "i just lost 1k viewers! their loss though" Hes just a gambler and the worst bounty player ive ever seen in my life

End of Feb that "downswing" will hit 100k and he will drop down in stakes, or just stop streaming, just my opinion.

You clearly have never played MTT's if you think you don't need to win those 20-80, 30-70 scenarios in highstakes tournaments. You play against the ****ing best players in the world, who make little to no mistakes. Getting through these fields of prodigys needs a ton of luck.
Whining and bitching is standard to me, i actually laugh at it, it's funny as it's completely normal to cry and obvious selective memory, when you don't remember the spots you won.
ps. he made some huge FT yesterday and lost 1st hand AK vs AKs for heaps, so yeah he is a ****ing huge luckbox, who never loses.

I try & sympathize because poker is a brutal game & it must be even more brutal to stream. I couldnt do it. It seems like the guy's online every time I fire up Twitch, so you have to admire the work ethic.

I rarely used to see him deepstacked though. When you're registering late almost every time, you're relying on crazy amounts of luck against semi-competent players, never mind great players.

Selective memory is one thing but there's only so long I can listen to it. Screaming about luck & swearing at other players could actually be funny if he could take it back. But combined with being crazy sensitive to anything 'toxic' said in chat, it's just an unwatchable combination for me

It doesn't include reentries. On a high-stake schedule that can easily be $1k+ a day, so a 40K downswing that shows as break-even in that graph is definitely possible.

KO's are a huge part of the schedule. Just one bounty is ITM, and assuming someone would only play KO's the % should be close to 50%. That's obviously not the case with Lex but it does mean 26.5% ITM doesn't mean much at all.
