As an active LoL spectator I can tell that reaching 10k concurrent viewers by streaming a game that has never really been a thing to stream in such a short period of time is ****ing huge, like real huge. Jcarver might just singe handily change things around there. Just my opinion though.

I think good content podcasts are rare and joeys and jcarvers are the better ones and i think joey should relax his strict "no strat at any costs" on his pod casts as i think jus little bits of comments would def add to them. They don't have to go into deep detail about every hand but sometimes jus little bits of input would be better that than as i said before the seemingly condescending attitude - oh its strat - nothing shall be said anymore on this segment move onto non strat speak.
Nice try getting free strat

You want strat you can find that on 99 percent of anything poker related out there now, I don't have much interest to discuss it

I really haven't seen the way jcarv talks about hands/strat or how deep he gets into it. I don't really have much of an idea how to explain basic strat without getting really into it because the really getting into it part matters a lot when talking about something for me. Most of the time I will probably come off sounding like I have no idea what I am talking about if i tried to do it like that. So instead of getting into it at all on any level I choose not to Just because some people like to share strat streaming, doesn't mean everyone should. Thats what training sites are for

Ryuzilla from MLG is streaming a two table tournament with some friends on PS and all of them are on facecam. Pretty interesting. Makes me curious what a poker site that required face cams so everyone at the table could see everyone would be like if there were effective enough software to enforce it.

There are already some sites that allow you to show your face during a game(888 I think?). Pretty neat idea imo, but not sure how well it would really take off.

Man this Ryuzilla stream is actually kind've entertaining, love watching these noobs enjoying the great game of poker with their friends! This just proves that this twitch stuff is great for poker! MOAR

Jason is continuing to help poker. Today is the fourth day in a row that he has streamed on Twitch. He has been streaming for over 6 hours. There are currently approx 6k viewers as he dominates a small stakes MTT final table. There are many non-poker viewers that are interested. There are many questions in the chat like "He keeps saying 'button'. What does that mean?".

Jason will be at the forefront of the next poker boom (if there is one). The next boom will come through the internet and not TV. He gets thousands of young viewers each time he streams often making the front page. Twitch gets 60 million unique viewers per month. He already has close to 1.5 million unique views on his channel. he never stops talking, is extremely fun, and people in chat are having a blast since he wins a lot. Already 2x top 2 tourny finishes this week.

and the chat blew up when he won the tourny just now

It really is amazing to watch the chat. Twitch viewers are compromised mainly of 14-18 year old kids who watch Starcraft, Minecraft, League of Legends, and Call of Duty. He's pulling in a whole new audience of people to the poker world (competitive gamers) and doing a great job of keeping it basic enough to keep the noobs interested, and in-depth enough to keep intermediate players watching.

It really has been great to watch his rise from a small YT channel, and 200-300 average viewers on Twitch to this. If Jason became the new face of poker (like DNegs or PH) I would be extremely pleased.

Yeah, that was fun. I loved how many people said "I don't even play poker but I just can't stop watching." and things like that. Future players? Better chance now!
