not going to lie, after playing big bet games like stud hi lo and stud hi, he goes back to his style of playing less variance in NLHE.... especially a 10k where he will get rekt

Watching the 7 card stud tourney last night was pretty funny. There were a few LOL hands... I'm getting 26:1 so I HAVE to call.

At some point he's going to realize pot odds are only one part of the tourney ICM equation. This really holds true for some of his late runs.

I've been watching for awhile now and am still entertained but I feel he needs to progress his game to be more in tune with 2015 caliber players.

This won't happen. He's set on pot odds. Somebody today even called him out on it but said that it's all about the math and that it's served him well for over 10 years now. It's a shame to because he could be so much better if he didn't base 100% of his decisions on pot odds. For cash games, fine but in MTT's...get outta here. It's even worse now because most people in high stakes tourneys have probably watched him and know he can't pass up odds and just sink him over and over.

Not a big deal to him though because he's making bank even losing a bunch of MTTs when that variance train catches up to him.

I kinda think that's why he is so successful. He is able to grasp how different 3-1 and 5-1 are where as to a lot of people it's just "getting a good price." Iv'e really enjoyed his stream the last few days while iv'e been down and out with an ear infection. Learned a lot about broadcasting and a little about poker as well.

Jason keeps calling this guy crazy for raising Ax. Does anyone understand Jason's river shove?

I just watched this hand. Idk how I feel about it. He's only getting called by better and I don't think he's bluffing in that spot.

Every better Ace is calling and certainly any two pair (Looks like a busted flush draw bluff almost always). Bad bet after the check (unless for value in which case, thin), but probably a fold to the reraise with a tip of the cap if the villain was bluffing.

Even Babe Ruth struck out once in a while.

JCarvers Stream is quite entertaining most of the time, even more so when he's playing the outlandish variantes llike stud or 2-7 and stuff. I mean the amount of viewers he gets most of the time should resonate how entertaining he is at was he does, ofc it's not the stream you can get in-depth stretegy (AJFenixx is the way to go for that ). Only thing that gets somewhat annoying when watching him in tournies for a longer period is that he BASES EVERY DECISION with pot-odds.

I think JTo is a fold in that spot. There's no antes, and it would've cost him zero chips to wait for a better hand.

JTo is behind a range of Top 70%.

Hard to tell how tight he's getting called with the two big stacks in the blinds.

Finishing seventh is an amazing outcome though.

Deep runs are always great for viewer counts...final tables will make them skyrocket (must be the graphics )!

Hope he makes a few more deep runs, the main event on Sunday/Monday would be an awesome time.

Is this allowed? Can they talk about hands while they're in progress? Are they walking a fine line here? Sorry if this is a silly concern

It was a fine line. But Jason did make his own decisions. It was pretty cool to listen to some of dnegs comments and thought processes in the hands. And basically subtly letting Jason know he thought he was way too loose.

Agreed. Jason was second guessing himself throughout the session. The result may have turned out the same (ldo) but he was not himself, for sure.

Daniel did absolutely influence decisions. Towards the end, the suggestions were very direct and before Jason had acted.

Really liked the idea of having another pro in the stream with him, but they'll have to work some things out beforehand next time.

Pretty sure I have seen people discuss hands in play while live streaming on Pokerstars twitch account before.
