You couldn't think of two more different people than Jason and Doug.

Jason is polite, intelligent, good for the game, presents poker in a positive light, everything Polk could never do.

Good riddance to Polk, and thanks for sharing the good news.

Hip! Hip! Hurrah!

Lol, I can only assume that neither Mercier or Somerville knows of LLinus because they would never sit in a game where he would be really. LL is a online cg nlhe endboss and none of them would be involved in games where online cg nlhe endbosses are playing

edit: Other than when Mercier is entering the high rollers during SCOOP/WCOOP I guess. At which point he probably should've spent give minutes familiarizing himself with who the absolute world elite are and who aren't, beforehand, but hey it's his EV...

He went to Vegas intending to play, but he said when he got there, he just felt burned out on poker, and decided to take the summer off. Can only be a good thing for his stream as you could tell that he wasn't feeling it lately.

He certainly seemed out of it because he slowly realised how terrible he really was. Now hes calling it quits and sticking to sportsbetting and all that.

          Call call calll fold
          and only 3betting QQ+ is.not.winning.poker!!!!
oh yah also bluffing like 5% on river is atrocious too . he lit so much money on fire he probably realised the game passed him by awhile ago

I don't think he cares with the sponsorships and endorsements some how WhatUpGuys.

He also practically invented twitch poker. Have a little respect.

Yep, good news. Used to watch his stream back in the day & enjoyed it. Fast forward to his latest run a few months back or whenever, & although I only hopped in v.briefly, it genuinely seemed like it was torturing him to play.

He cares deep down but will never admit it. Sponsored by stars is great.

Who cares if he "invented twitch poker"? Good for him hes a great entertainer. It doesnt make me disrespectful to say hes terrible at poker. Just stating the facts I think its great that he stopped streaming.

I said"he sucks at poker" meaning every form. That makes your comment make no sense. Id be surprised if anybody who played at least 10 thousand games watched him and thought he was good. This excludes twitch streamers because nobody would admit it.

He got the world given to him on a silver platter he runs great at life Absolute zero work and has a ton of money and thousands of fans. This goes for many twitch streamers actually. Theres a ton of people who actually study and play 10 hours a day and dont have anywhere near his roll. No justice in poker is a perfect example in this case

Do you not realise this guy made millions from poker before he ever became a streamer?
To say 'he sucks' is hilarious. He's still better than probably 90% of players.
Obviously he doesn't put in the work anymore to mix it with the big boys but why should he? He makes plenty from his brand/twitch and he's done so much for the game, he deserves everything he gets.

You seem very salty about Jason and streamers in general, which I'm guessing comes from jealousy.

Edit: I've just saw your comment on the Jaime Staples thread championing him in there as the best thing since sliced bread. Yet you fail to mention his poker skills which are definitely below Jasons. Strange.

And the only thing you said is he 3bets only AA. What do you think about his stud game? Or razz can you give some hands to analyze? You don't like him I get it but saying he sucks in every form of poker is just nonsense. Best player in the world? Hell no. Better than the guys he plays against in hs mixed games? Hell no. Better than your typical grinder from 2+2? For sure.

This sums it up. Like a year ago when he really put the work to learn mixed games his game got better pretty fast. Nowadays he just plays to entertain and can't really blame him if he decides to call it quits. Don't need the money and 95% of twitch audience are mental cases.

I said he was a losing player in todays games and the game passed him by.
First of all he has not made ANYWHERE in the "millions". He self admitted he sold off action numerous times and i bet when he won his 1.4mill or whatever in that game he had 20% tops. Also its like he won a sng not even that impresive. 100k buy in? Also, what about all the 25k and 100ks he done? He might even techinally be down money.

His big online scores like wnning scoop and ftops were in 2008? Its when nobody knew how to play the game changed drastically if you didnt realise.

To say hes better than 90% players is hilarious. Do you realise EVERY TABLE he goes to ( even 1/2) he gets bumhunted. I crackedup when GodlikeRoy INSTANTLY sat on his left on numerous plo tables for like a week straight and was ONLY on his games.

Im not salty on twitch streamers in general. Im salty against non deserving "pros" who get labled"beast players/hardworkers and pro cardplayers" What work does he do? he literally rolled out of bed last year everyday and streamed the whole day and did the same thing for like 7+ months. He enjoys streaming good for him... but other streamers too, they do nothing special they play poker and just are entertainers so they get famous.

To comment on the comment i made on Jaime. Whats wrong praising him? Hes a hard worker and constantly doing good things for himself and others.
Hes a proven winner in the midstakes and a loser at highstakes. So what? He betterd his life more than anyone in the past year+ and i respect him greatly the way he is.

I think his stud game is terrible. complete spewtard. I think his razz game is just standard, in the middle as that is the easiest game to play in general. Absolutely zero clue how to play holdem and PLO thats for sure. He just gets straightup owned over and over and in holdem specifically he just calls and calls then folds when unimproved and makes zero plays. Hypers are just a disaster too how he has to think about calling or shoving a hand like Q9 or k7 for 4 bb four handed when the opponent is jamming any 2 cards. He timebanks like 30 seconds its hilarious and sometimes folds!.

Id invest in Moldran before i invested in J
He didnt put in any work a year ago man, did you watch the time Daniel was on stream or when Mercier joined him? they politely ripped him apart at all times when they saw the tragic mistakes being made.
You get blindsided by the godlike runs he has and wins a 30k or 40k score in an event. It happened 2 yrs in a row to keep his "Stats ok" He seriously blinded down to like 4 big bets and somehow survived and wins his allin alll the way tot he final 4 or whatever then loses... then leaks his rolll away all year in hypers and cash then gets bailedout in 1 tourney, its like clockwork

Negreanu and Mercier are 2 of the best mixed game players on the planet...

Also, everybody arguing about JCarver's skill level can take solace in the fact that he almost definitely does not care whether you think he is good or not.

The run it up brand has always geared itself to be entertaining, welcoming, and informational for new/recreational players. There are other platforms for people who want to be professionals or crushers. Seeing as Jason had been doing the RIU streams for ~2 or 3 years, of course his game is not as good as if he was working 100% to make as much money as possible.

If you truly believe this, I would deposit onto Pokerstars (take out a loan if you can't afford the games that he plays) and just bumhunt the eff out of him. Let us know how you do! Since your marvelous skills are so much better than his, it should be like printing money

Unless I'm mistaken, this is usually what the graphs look like of people who playing MTTs primarily. The graph obviously looks like more of a roller coaster than just a standard cash game player, as you don't cash most tournaments, and end up having a big score when you make a deep run

I wish only the best for Jason. His streams were as much about fun and entertainment and spreading positivity as about any real strategy/education.

I hope Jason has the success in his life outside of poker that he deserves and is rewarded in kind for all that he has given to us in the poker community.

Did he called it quits for streaming? Can't really blame is so and best of luck in the future. He was twitch poker for a long time for sure.

afaik, he is taking a break. After years of doing the same thing every day, that is understandable.

You're just brilliant --- bet you never heard that before. Good to hear Jason isn't like the typical player who has deep runs when they run bad.

          Brilliant, I tell you!
