to be fair 400-1000 is good number when all the big dogs are online, even great players like bparis has 100-150 viewers that time. tonkaaa is basicly the perfect streamert, literally always some sweat going on, funny guy, q&a-n are spot on, chat emoticons are spot on, his play is spot on.

I'd be happy to. My wife and I love to travel around the world and when we're not traveling, we enjoy watching videos that highlight scenery of places we haven't as yet been. I happened to catch Jamie's vlogs just as he began his trip across Canada and thought my wife would enjoy seeing that as well.

Are you happy now?

I'm sorry if my life doesn't rival the excitement of a busto break-even micros-playing poker player. It must be thrilling when you win a few pennies here and there! I hope you've done a little better over the past couple of years.

I'd love to continue this convo, but I'm meeting some friends shortly at a tiki bar on the beach just down from my oceanfront condo on Miami Beach, and then I have to work on my Christmas trip to Berlin and spending New Year's in Prague.

Again, I know that doesn't rival the excitement you get from sitting in front of your computer all day and night fighting for pennies, but I guess that I'll just have to make do.

I just find it humorous that people who don't like him, don't like his streams or vlogs, and don't like the way he lives his life, seek out his work for the sole purpose of criticizing what he does. It reminds me of the trolls in LVL who do the same thing with another poker player/YouTube vlogger. You all must lead pretty pathetic lives if this is what you do for enjoyment.

BTW, aloof is an adjective, not a noun; moreover, it really doesn't make any sense the way you attempted to use it.
He is a public figure, so he is going to get both praise and criticism for what he does. That's part and parcel of the job. You are living in an idealistic/fantasy world if you think he's never going to receive criticism.

I also don't understand why any mention of his weight on stream gets an instant ban. People are only saying the truth. He does need to lose weight - Jaime has even admitted this in his youtube videos. I think Jaime would get a lot more viewers on his stream if he stopped censoring these comments.

Sounds like an odd story to me. My parents travel a lot, and I doubt they'd find a vid of a car trip worth watching when there's so many other videos available that better fit their lifestyle.

If you find Jaime's vlogs interesting, you should be honest about what it is that makes them interesting to you, so he knows what's working.

while some of you guys sit around & giggle about Jaimes slow demise he is currently 612 out of 673 in the $2100 progressive ko thursday thrill for 1879 viewers, he has said he has 100% of himself in this tournament so i'm gonna assume he's far from busto right now

Noone is saying stapler is busto. Putting 7k/month in to the dream so he must have some revenue or savings still. After all he did live in his parents basement when he was still a winning player so he must have saved atleast some capital. And I think he satellited that thrilla. Or atleast he was trying to do so. And now carver took his audience once again.

Jcarver has crushed it this WCOOP, tbf. Even playing banana games, he's stretched the gap between him and the field as the month has rolled on.

I don't understand all the hate staples is getting out of nowhere. I understand it when people hated on me in the past cos of my attitude (slowrolling aces, marking SNE as fish, playing stakes far out of my league etc), but Staples?

He has been nothing but nice all the time, to everyone. Used to be a big winner in the low and midstakes MTTs over many games, and has been probably the most consistent poker streamer since the start on Twitch.

With his vlogs he actually gives more insight in the life of a poker pro than any other streamer.

And at the poster above me you must be kidding, staples is still the king of the house (staples/assistant/martin).

If you really wanna help him, just send him a PM with suggestions on Twitch instead of trashtalking in this thread, he will probably listen more then.

Difficult to watch this level of self-pitying. Fatal combination of narcissism and a lack of self-awareness.

That said! He's 7/20 in the Big $27. Streaming for 2,700 people; $3.3k up top.

Good for him. Can allmost cover up the losses from yesterdays stream. Kappa.

Tried to listen that vlog and just can't handle that moaning. He vlogs about his life every single day and winders how he gets so much attention and critic. Like really wonder why.

He's not busto in the literal sense (i.e. no money at all). But if he were to play on his own bankroll, with no supplementary income from his stream or sponsorship (like most pros do), he would be broke.

Lets assume his average buy in is $75 and he's on a $65,000 downswing this year. This would mean he has lost almost 900 buy ins. Standard MTT bankroll management is to have 100 buy ins, or 200 buy ins if you are being conservative. He would have lost over 4 bankrolls by now. If this isn't evidence that he can't beat the games, I don't know what is.

See my post above. He hasn't been a winning player for a long time.

I think the majority of his audience (apart from diehard fanboys) have become alienated by his desire to "grow the stream" rather than improve and actually win at poker. His appeal came from being an average guy who was able to grind a living playing online tournaments, eventually achieving Pokerstars sponsorship. His viewers aspired to achieve what he had achieved.

Now he's just a losing player, who hides all his results (remember when he used to have his monthly/yearly results on stream for everyone to see?), and is being propped up by non-poker related income.

He busted that tournament. Punted off a 150k stack with KJ on a Q32 board when his opponent had AA.

Focus on getting back in shape big time brother and clean up the diet, IMO this can help you so much from a personal mental standpoint. I would also suggest you consider cutting back on the spending of vids, think you're putting in too much for too little back. probably better to use some of that $ to play higher buy-ins. Could just take a super deep run in something big to bring life back to the channel and tones of new viewers. Keep it up!

Yeah. 1st he had vpps vpp goal, ydays profit, mtd profit and ytd profit. Then it was something like last win january kappa and now just nothing.

And that vlog was kind a fun actually. Guess it's suppousde to be like a poker pro life and games etc. Now he analysed 11hrs stream lost pre allin A9 vs KQ and made a bluff. And rest of the vlog was just moaning and bitching. Has he ever vlogged about studying the game? Like analysing why is he losing etc.

(As an outsider)
It seems to me that his personal brand is deteriorating.
What made him famous in the first place?
What makes him famous now?
Is it his skill?
Is it his personality?
Is it his looks? (not)

He spends a lot of time overthinking this whole streaming thing, rather than letting things go on a free flow.
Even if Jungleman had 0 personality, I'd watch him for his skill. If ChicagoJoey was not streaming poker, I could still watch him.
I dunno about this Staples guy...

I am pretty sure Jaime could beat me at cash and so I'll stay off that one and I am also not really all that hot at progressive knock-outs but it seems to me this is the type of move worth trying once in a while in such an aggro tournament format.

If you notice the utg+1 opened 2x and will have spotted that the BB has only 4.3bb and a small but juicy bounty, also there are 2 other players (7.1bb and 12bb) where you wouldn't really mind too much being the underdog if they decide to push due to their bounties. And it is the stone cold bubble, 199 remaining 198 paid.

All this points to there being a very good chance that this utg+1 is much wider than 'normal' and so probably making this player quite willing to fold to a 3-bet. Due to it being on the bubble there is a good chance that it will fold back around to the utg+1 putting this player into a difficult decision, or even with a lot of luck maybe getting HU with the BB with lots of overlay and a bounty .

Progressive knockouts, by there nature, are very aggro type of tournament and if you don't adjust to this bounty structure you're dropping lots of value.

From this screenshot Jaime is 47th of 199, and clearly from his own current $129 bounty size has already picked up nearly 1.5 x the buy-in in bounties so is already +ve roi in it and also about to get itm, so go Jaime.

At a new table, in early position, with a big stack left to act this can't possibly be a good spot to be 3-betting with Q2s. What makes you think utg+1 is opening light, after one hand? How do you know the big stack isn't going to 4-bet light, since it's on the bubble?

Shouldnt judge too much from one screenshot but if he is making 'moves' like that no wonder he loses. And gotta give man credit for trying the satellite way to the bigger ones. That is most def a smart move and I think people like swetting those phase satellites.
