Re: Jaime Staples

Jamie & Matt tilt the **** out of me.... Just clicking buttons whilst firing constant buzz words & lines to make it seem as if what they are doing has logic...

Jamie literally just blew $1,000 buyin with the game plan of calling with any 2 if he may win someones bounty

Also, its very misleading in Jamies Stake Kings profile to say he is a professional tournament player... Your average punter is being lied to when backing him thinking he is a winning player

Lots wrong with your post, and Ill tell ya!

1- His name is Jaime, not Jamie

2-Matt went from 11-50 cent mtt buy ins, to playing up to $215 in under 3 yrs. If thats not good progress what is? The poker stuff he blurtsout is surely better than yours if i had to guess

3-Gonna need you to post hand history to make that claim about Jaime busting the 1k tourney on"going for bounties with any 2" First of all ina bounty there are many spots you need to call with any 2, IF you have over 100 bb and someone shoves 5-6 bigs u should call with 23o to gamble for it as it doesnt hut you one bit but you can claim a good bounty and a good portion of prizepool is in bounties.

4- Jaime has said for a very long time now he is a professional streamer who plays poker, and if people want to buy a percentage they are doing so for entertainment, and gamble which is perfectly fine. Also, people dont back Jaime, they buy a piece for a sweat. Big difference.Jaime does it for his fans to be nice, he can afford everything he plays.

Just as a curious question i must ask you. Do you think Lex is good?Id love to hear your thoughts on him if ya dont mind

Re: Jaime Staples

Matt is actually a winner at the stakes he plays at. Jaime probably is a winner at the same stakes as Matt is playing and a huge dog in anything over $200. And yes the sweat 2 bet is way over at this point and has been for a while. I believe Matt would have made under 10% (unsure if he really wants to go through it at this point).

Feel bad for Jaimie’s anxiety attacks. I’ve dealt with them my whole life. It’s always a struggle.

I've heard it happen to some people who have gambled a lot in their life. The anxiety and stress of winning and losing large sums of money eventually takes its toll on some people, causing them to have panic attacks, irritable mood, mood swings and other symptoms. It doesn't happen to everyone, but some are more susceptible than others.

No longer with Pokerstars. He said it was his decision but I doubt he would give up that guaranteed income.

Re: Jaime Staples

Is he giving up poker completely after this? He's not a winning player, so unless he makes a lot from his twitch stream, he has to give up being a pro.

Re: Jaime Staples

Not surprising for a number of reasons. Who knows what the Pokerstars deals was but I don’t see how he is financially viable just living off poker, twitch and YouTube.

Re: Jaime Staples

Not really. His already making several FTs on party.

Stars is by far the toughest site, I can see Staples being EV++ on softer sites.

^ But his income from Pokerstars was guaranteed. Zero variance. He gave that up.

Re: Jaime Staples

Not sure about that. The contract between pros and stars is confidential, I always thought was something like 50-100% rakeback and some live packages. Is not like they got a salary.

Edit: Also, probably conditions got worse, as other pros have left stars.

Maybe they told him about the MTT rakeback changes and he didn't like them/want to answer questions on them.

Is it though? You've got 0 idea what his deal was before, and what his new offer was. He knows his worth, he might be **** talked on here but he's pretty popular and marketable to a new consumer.

A few posts up someone says about going to RIO - with their streamer scheme he could make decent bank there, and I would have thought Phil would be happy to take him on as a sponsored pro too.

Being Sponsored by Stars isn't what it used to be - if anything, it can be more damaging to a personal brand than good. If he was only getting offered a poor Rakeback deal and some live packages then he's better off taking his brand elsewhere.
