Pretty sure these big streamers get promo-staked every now and then to these bigger tournaments (by partypoker). He usually plays much smaller, I believe those 33$ - 109$ tourneys are the ones he's playing with his own money.

His twitch viewers are usually in the 200 mark these days. Youtube videos are not exactly booming and hes a huge loser at the stakes he is playing.

Surely wont be long until PartyPoker drop him and hes looking for a new career?

200, really? There was a time a few years ago when he was getting 3k viewers.

Do you know why his viewer numbers have fallen so much?

Lack of consistency wrt Twitch and life in general + a very defensive attitude about it all is my guess. I die a little bit inside every time he tries to prove a hater/troll right instead of just straight up ignoring them. It's a shame, he's a really good dude from the looks of it, hope he turns it around

Crash dieting doesn't tend to stick. You could tell it wasn't with him when he immediately said he was going to treat himself to eating whatever the following week. He's been streaming more video games as well with around 50-100 viewers. Not a bad move as I feel like maybe he can at least be stable with twitch income without losing poker money someday. His brother on the other hand has been killing it with viewership and has grown his br to $250k which is impressive. Even the least jealous person ever has to feel it a bit there

$250k is a lot. What games and stakes does he play to build his roll to that level?

I like Staples and i think some of the comments are misleading.

He regularly gets over 500 viewers. Sometimes the 1.5k+ 2k etc.. even now I am watching him at 4pm UK time and he has 450 viewers, so not exactly peak time.

Also.. Always funny in the poker world as ppl never seem to understand business in any way! Its not just about playing high stakes on stream.. its about how entertaining you are, how fun you are, witty personable etc.. .It is those streamers who tend to be the most successful. even if they only play $5 tournaments

And sure, there will be a niche for someone who gets to a final table with $3 million to be won.. But ultimately, the most successful streamers will have those qualities

Do you guys think that someone with the above qualities and playing relatively high stakes could take over #1 twich poker spot with consistency?

yes, because youve then got the best of both worlds.

Dont get me wrong, anybody that reaches a final table with say $3 million up top will have a huge watch. Possibly in tens of thousands.. but thats a one off.

I think in the "game" of youtube and twitch, the most successful people in the long run are the people with personalities
