So he starts twitch stream at play money & it goes from a few to over 4,000 viewers in under 1hr. At least he knows how to keep the audience entertained

Many poker fans (including me) will watch Negreanu on Twitch, so what's the impact of this big poker news? Is this the "nail on the coffin" from any other streamers getting sponsored by PokerStars? Will partypoker/WPT, 888, etc. try to compete with PS and any future sponsored players will have to Twitch?

I might not agree on everything with Dnegs, but can't deny the guy is entertaining. He could play minesweeper for 8 hours and have 5k viewers easily.

he was just doing a 15 minute test stream from the US so hes set up when hes in canada

that turned into a 3 hour q and a with twitch chat. some interesting stuff.

most enjoyed the talk of specific hands on high stakes poker and him being exposed to a 4000 person twitch chat for the first time.

At last a streamer I am guaranteed not to subscribe to.

I wonder if he will preach his gospel of people who win being bad and taking money from the game while simultaneously trying to win and take money from the game (Something he of course said he was actually cool with when Victoria Coren quit).

For someone that had never done it before, he was already better than all but a handful of streamers because he understands THAT POKER SHOULD BE FUN (that really is why most people play it -- shock!) and tried to make it so for anyone watching by having one table that all could focus on, threw in interesting anecdotes and analysis, and acted like he himself enjoyed what he was doing.
