Just curious if a girl like me can start from freerolls and grind up a bankroll.

As a professional hand model, I just feel it's a must.
Sure, if you don't mind grinding tiny stakes for quite awhile. I grinded freeroll $$ once up to $250 pre-Black Friday (that ended that) playing .01/.02 and then $1 & $2 sng's. I only played from time to time, but I was fairly decent before I started, I was not a complete beginner.
I would expect a complete beginner to have to start over more than once, and freerolls are tough to get through. Limp, play super tight, and push the nuts hard in those (not like you would play normally). Play is really bad in freerolls, so no need to deviate from that or get fancy.
