Bobbo will have to confirm but here's how I did it in the past:

First tiebreaker is total games won within matches. Ie, the 1W-2L overall record player who won 3-1, lost 2-3, lost 2-3 advances over the 1W-2L overall record player who won 3-0, lost 2-3, lost 1-3. Basically how you much of a fight in your losing matches.

2nd tiebreaker is head to head record if we need it.

In summary, if you lose 2-3 twice and your nemesis loses 2-3 and 1-3 then you advance. Good losses matter.
