im guessing there are less than 30 corrupted cards but eh I could be wrong.

There arent that many minions that have a link with the old gods so maybe it IS like 50+ o.O

I am constantly surprised by the amount of negativity and complaining I see in this forum. There's a lot of effort and work that goes in to this stuff. If you have a problem with the theme Blizzard has chosen, why not offer up some of your own content creation? There are several very well done fan-made expansion ideas out there with a wide variety of card text and artwork. We don't have much of that type of thing here. But what we do have are posters that want to offer up their perpetually sour disposition. If you think the expansion is going to be lame or you question the amount of work that's gone in to it and you'd like to share your disappointment in the 5% of the content we've seen, you can at least be a little more eloquent about it.

it is slightly less bad than reddit at least since here no one thinks they deserve everything in the game for free

I don't post a whole lot so it probably seems strange that I'd come out blasting others. I just care a lot about the game and I'm genuinely excited to see where they go with this. I think the Old Gods lore is one of the better parts of the Warcraft universe. So when I get up, one of the first things I want to do is see what kind of new stuff has come out and what people are saying about it. We didn't get a new card, just a couple pieces of art. The art is actually pretty cool (as some have pointed out). But it's disappointing to see people ****ting on it when all we have is some new artwork.

I really like the game and was looking forward to the expansion but taking minions that exist and slap a corrupted on it just seems lazy and the artwork really isn't a selling point to me. MTG looks so much better.

So if the cards didn't have the "Corrupted" title you'd be totally fine with it? That's pretty ridiculous. It's not lazy from the HS team at all, it's thematic. The MTG comparison isn't fair for a few reasons. One, MTG has a wayyyy bigger design space, both with lore and with card design. Two, despite the larger design space, MTG does the exact same thing the HS team is doing. Blocks of sets have a theme, and themes are recycled all the time.

I like the corrupted theme but every corrupted card i've seen so far has been hot garbage. possible use of the corrupted healbot in a priest deck but that's about it. 5 mana 6/6 is not that amazing.

The more I see the more I'm convinced I'm sticking to Wild format.

I think this is probably the worst C'Thun dude. 3 mana 3/1 Divine Shield and 3 mana 2/2 Stealth Divine Shield never get played. 4 mana 3/3 Divine Shield never gets played. I think his body is worth like 3.25 mana above the cost of a card maybe?
