The card definitely has more value than Death's Bite, independent of cost. Nobody plays a one mana whirlwind without the Patron synergy, and just about everyone would play a one mana 4/2.

At 4 mana, Twilight Hammer would be approximately the single best card in the game.

I'm surprised you guys aren't more hyped for this guy. How does a Shaman lose with turn 5 Twilight Hammer into turn 6 Fire Elemental?

yeah thats not a good comparison at all.

the elemental comes down on turn 6 while you describe it as a 1 mana

no i wouldnt run a 1 mana 4/2 that can only be dropped on turn 6 or later

id play a 0 mana whirlwind on 5 that costs no card tho

I'm not arguing that Twilight Hammer is better than Death's Bite.

Also, a 4/2 body isn't irrelevant on turn 6. People don't just get to remove BGHs for free.

Kirby is still right in that a 1 mana 4/2 that you can't play until then 5/6 is not worth a card. There's some value packed in the hammer it just seems to feel a really weird niche until we see what the meta is like.

Before Patrons people ran whirlwind. It has synergy with Gromm, Execute and Acolyte and it can help clear Pallys.

The major problem with the Shaman Card is that 4 damage removal on turn 5 is way worse than on turn 4. Also Shaman's can't armor up.

If this was a warrior card it would be 2x into every deck.

Obv completely terrible. If you get 2 9/9s to stick, you were winning anyway. Further, I think 2 9/9s are probably preferable to a single 30/30. But this will produce some hilariously fun and stupid decks.
