Not in dragon warrior. It's a bit less likely that you'll not have a dragon t4, and the Guardian is just straight up better (unless pulled by Varian, but that was only a minor consideration for monkey).

Damn I'm gonna have to craft another guardian huh

On a different note, I cut one Acolyte in my Patron 3.11 deck for one Blood Warriors and it's been fabulous so far. I'm not even sure whether or not it's actually good for the deck, the three times I've played it my opponent snap conceded each time

Guardians aren't that important because of the 3/6 taunt or anything, Bloodhoof is better in a lot of situations. Guardians are important because they are low cost dragons, and those are really important to activate synergy. Like, you don't really want to keep a 9 drop to activate Alex Champion.

So last night I'm thumbing through my cards and trying to decide what to rid myself of since I'm hella low on dust and want to craft some ****. I ran across the two copies of Blood of the Ancient One and one copy of Y'Shaarj that I got from the initial WOG packs. As I'm just about to dust these seemingly worthless cards I think, why not see if they actually can work *together* in constructed? So instead I theorycrafted a bit and came up with this

The concept is pretty simple: survive long enough to get your two Bloods out and then win the game once The Ancient One arrives on the scene.

It consists of the usual suspects like Fiery Win Axe to deal with small minions, Acolyte and Slam to provide some card draw, Execute and Brawl and Shield Slam for board clear/dealing with troublesome big minions, taunts for extending the game and dealing with faster decks, etc. The two Faceless Manipulators are there in case one of the Bloods is hopelessly stuck at the bottom of the deck, or to just hopefully win the game with on turn 9 by copying the (hopefully) 10-attack Grommash I plopped down on turn 8. I thought about Ysera in there as a possible extra wincon but decided on Varian as he's very helpful in getting the Bloods out and really just seems to have been born for a deck like this, not to mention Y'Shaarj.

I'd appreciate any feedback on this as I'm really excited about it, it's the first deck I've really committed to playing "seriously" that wasn't ripped straight from the net. I'm 9-3 with it so far, though sadly only once was I able to get THE ANCIENT ONE onto the board (he won me the game against a control warrior so that was nice).

played these 2 lists from 16 to 5, still pretty early in the season so playing mostly vs former legend players id assume. maintained a 70%+ winrate

Why Soggoth?

How's yogg been? I was thinking he could be good in that type of list.

just testing soggoth. without black knight/paladin he seems okay. deadly shot is probably the card you fear the most now but hunter has an advantage over warrior anyway.

yogg has been really good in this list for a couple of reasons

you usually don't have a board as a warrior and that's when yogg is best. it also allows you to use your removal a bit more freely because yogg either deals with what's left on the board or draws you cards a huge % of the time. I usually don't play yogg when I'm ahead though and often wait for elise to turn him into a different legendary in warrior mirrors towards the end

lol first game with the yogg deck I have nexus champ and a ghoul on board on turn 8. My opponent plays diredoggie and forbidden ritual. I hero power and get Shadow Word: Horror.

Soggoth is very good against Rogue and Zoo in particular. I haven't tried him in warrior yet, but pretty strong in ramp druid. But then again you can get him out a lot earlier there.

Yeah the problem is if you're playing it on turn 9 vs Zoo you've won the game already.

while it's not great vs zoo, you're favoured vs zoo with double brawl, geddon and 4 whirlwind effects.

I am 27-10 with this specific deck and like 45-22 overall with dragon warr this month:

the only thing I have a losing record to is aggro shaman, which I think is probably evenish and I'm just not playing the matchup right. Idk. it feels strong versus absolutely everything right now. fierce monkey and twilight guardian completely shut down PW. Renos have an extremely hard time stabilizing against your early onslaught, and are often forced to reno into a 9/9. if the game goes long they dont really have enough resources to beat your big huge threats. Curator draw 3 get a 4/6 taunt gives you more steam in the late game to keep pushing. Slam functions as removal, draw, or gromm activator. dropping deathwing in the shaman matchup is usually a win if you can survive to turn 10.

This might be my favorite version of dragon warrior to date, it's so absurdly fun and lethal

I wanted to put deathwing in my dragon warrior, never did though. How does it do?

Wins games when it's played, but it's noticeably heavy. Most of the time you're never playing it. If I had to replace it I would choose maybe alex or something? Chillmaw? Idk. In control matchups they've usually exhausted every single resource dealing with your huge minions so they have nothing left for the deathwing

It does fit in very well with the decks game plan though, of taking your opponent down to 15 and then slamming the big Dragon is down

I tried this version out for a while in December but preferred Zalae's in the end.

-2 Slam
-1 Grom
-1 Deathwing

+2 Faerie Dragon
+2 Blood to Ichor

Alex Champ is one of the most underrated cards. So hard to deal with on turn 2 or coined out if you miss your pirates.

That was one of the most called for nerf cards last summer. It's pretty broken but dragon warr wasnt good in the MR shaman meta so it disappeared.
