Glad to see you took a full measure Robik. That's 29 runners. Doublecheck to make sure I didn't miss you. The deadline to enter is midnight EST tonight (roughly 5 hrs from now). I'll create the groups when I get home from work tomorrow (late afternoonish EST). Matches can start as soon as I post groups tomorrow.
Bobbo, shoot me a 32 man list from random.com tonight/tomorrow morning please.
Oh wow, I just realized I'm 24 hrs late to the party per my dates set in the OP. My fault. I had it stuck in my head that we were starting on Friday for some reason.
Signups are still open until midnight. I'd like to get 32 so enter if you've been kicking the idea of joining it around...just don't flake on me later bro.
Looks like we're rolling with 30. Before I get the randomized number set from kirby or bobbo (whichever is first) let it be written that groups G and H will have 3 people.
Here are the rules for the uninitiated:
-CONQUEST FORMAT - Each player is aware of which classes his or her opponent brought. Then, both players queue into the first game with a class of their choosing. Whichever player wins must then switch to a different class for the next game. Once a player wins with a class, it cannot be played again within that best of (seven, nine, 27, etc) match. The loser can choose to either stay with the same deck, or switch to one of his other decks. Once a player wins with all of his or her classes, that player wins the match.
-Games will be played in STANDARD format. We may go wild another time.
-Group stage will be best of 7.
-After the group stage the tourney will move to single-elimination format.
-First round of single elimination will be best of 7.
-Subsequent rounds will be best of 9 until a winner is crowned.
-Special bulletin for special people - you bring 4 decks to a Bo7 and 5 decks to a Bo9.
-Special bulletin part deux - you can only bring 1 deck of a class to a match
In the group stage you'll be assigned to a group of 4 (or 3 if you're lucky) people. You play everyone once. The best 2 in the group move on to the knockout rounds.
