Anyone tried out the newish aggro rogue? Been having fun playing it and some of the combos can be pretty crazy.

It got me my first rage friend request from a 'TuckFrump' which made it even better.

Looks like the list I copied from the streamer at the beginning of the month.

no prep feels so weird. seems much harder to get off an oil/flurry combo

I haven't really missed prep playing around >50 games with it so far. With all the other burst damage this deck has it doesn't rely as heavily on oil/flurry.

The shredders are great as they give you a sticky minion, and something bigger to play. If anyone makes some changes I'd be interested to hear how it works.

Since TGT is coming out next week we might as well just wait a few days before decking building lol. I do, obviously, think some version of fast rogue will be viable.

Have you tracked your stats with it? I'm curious how this matches up against other aggro decks/everything else.

The aggro rogue is just a worse version of aggro pally. It has more burst from hand, but you run out of gas way too often and cold light isn't as reliable as divine favor (IME). It just feels SO SO SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad to dig with CLO vs hunter or zoo but sometimes you have to do.

Unfortunately I haven't used hearthstone deck tracker the last few times I played as I play hearthstone on my old computer, and having it up along with music and a few other things was causing some problems.

I did use it when I first started the deck and was 25-14.

4-3 vs Hunter, 0-2 vs obvious face hunters
4-0 vs Pally with 3 of those being aggro Pally (surely ran hot there)
5-2 vs Warlock, 4-1 vs Zoo

Went on a nice win streak earlier today which has me thinking of trying for legend before TGT as I usually just do a daily quest. If I do I'll reset my stats and track for sure.

I agree I think aggro Pally is probably stronger. I just don't have the cards to run it, and there's something I like about rogue.

There's certainly times I hate my life when I have to use CLO. The one good thing about CLO is it can be the start of a combo.

it seems weird to play aggro rogue with arcane golems but without shadowsteps.
i dont think rogue is the best aggro deck at the moment by a longshot but it propably isnt much worse than mech shaman either.

Been using mech yetis in my 4 slot on eu. After too many ancient watchers i like them better than shredder - the spare part is a useful combo starter as well.

Tried colliseum manager. It wasnt bad actually, but it also wasnt an upgrade

Is it even worth trying to build a budget Oil list if I don't have Flurries or Preps?

100% pointless. You can play an aggro rogue without prep but flurry is a must in every rogue build imo.

Not having those cards is like taking an already weakened deck and taking out 2-4 of the 6-8 best cards in the deck. You could do it but i dont imagine you will be winning much

At this point with the addition of bash and judticar, the warrior matchup went from substantial underdog to completely unwinnable. Rogue is going to need a card that destroys armor or steals weapons in the next expansion.

A weapon steal card would be swell

Was thinking about different rogue cards to make the class better.

Few I came up with:

3 mana 3/4 minion, text: Your weapon cannot be destroyed during your opponents turn.
2 mana 2/3, text: Battlecry: your hero power now counts for combo purposes.

Was also thinking about how rogue is far and away the worst minion class. Every other class has 4 or 5 minions that sees heavy run in great decks.

Rogues best minion is van cleef, and that's it.

SI:7?

Yeah best minion is Si7 by far, cmon man.

But you're right, the other minions are real weakies.

I love the idea about a minion(s) that prevent weapon destruction. SO MUCH of a rogue is tied into a weapon, and with harrison/even oozes pretty prevalent, it directly counters rogues ability to sustain damage.

Having hero power proc combo makes a lot of sense as well. I don't think it should be a battlecry, but rather just card text. ("While this minion is in play, hero power counts for combo purposes") Otherwise it's like a mini justicar, and arguably OP.

Van Cleef is only good when it works. The other day Dog made a 12/12 sax man on stream only to get it BGH'd that very turn.

Southsea deckhand you can buff and at least get one swing in.

I got the dust to craft my Flurries and put together a budget Oil list:

2x Backstab
2x Deadly Poison
1x Southsea Deckhand
2x Blade Flurry
2x Eviscerate
2x Sap
2x Shiv
1x Kobold Geomancer
2x Fan of Blades
1x Earthen Ring Farseer
2x Harvest Golem
2x SI:7
2x Oil
2x Shredder
1x Healbot
2x Azure Drake
2x Sprint

The Shivs and the Golems are random throw ins for the cards I'm missing (Preps, Violet Teacher). Any advice on (cheap) changes? I have basically no dust but could probably disenchant to get to 40 for a 1-of common. Have a lot of mech cards as well.

Having a ton of fun playing it and it feels reasonably strong for what I'm playing against at rank ~.15

I will say I'm having trouble determining when to go aggro and when to hold things for future board control. I ran into a control mage matchup where I would've won had I been more aggressive but held back card to make sure I could handle whatever they dropped.
