Yeah that card seems to have massive value and is very tough to play against in my experience.

One thing that I found in testing a bunch of different ideas for essentially 'control rogue' is that perdition's blade is actually a pretty awesome card, it ends up being like 1/3 of a gorehowl or something hitting for 3 or 4 and then for 2.
Honestly, I'm not sure. I'm still trying to work it out. But I do think the card is very strong, it just doesn't go in a miracle, mech, backspaceish, or pure oil rogue deck. And those are the only 4 archetypes right now. (With oil being 80%+ probably)

It's 100% correct to hard mulligan for sprint and drakes vs priest.

I just wanted to say that the Mill Rogue is pure scum and I can't understand why anyone plays it. It feels like a troll to me.

I actually think mill decks are a fun novelty and I get a kick out of playing vs them. You can't get frustrated if they beat you because they are a massive underdog to pretty much everything.

I played against a mill rogue yesterday. But I was playing zoo. So I was thinking, "instead of having to pay 2 life in order to get one card, you're giving me two for free? Cool!" Easily overran the guy.

I can see mill rogue losing to aggro decks but faring well vs. control.

Mill rogue is one of the hardest decks in the game, if not the hardest, to play IMO. Watching a great mill player (ie Ryzen) is pretty awesome - there are often some really hard decisions and tough math.

Getting wins out of that deck vs aggro/midrange takes skill.

I screwed around with some kind of mech rogue for a bit and can't really get it to work all that well. I still lack the basic cards that go into making a rogue deck right now anyway.

Is this fine or any better minions I could be using before I get Van Cleef and Thalnos?

you should do well with this build imo

I run the same deck except with a Boom instead of a Healbot. Seems to be pretty good, though I can see why you'd want some healing.

I opened 15 packs the other day and got ~3.5k - 4k dust... 1 golden legend 1 golden epic and a bunch of other epics. I could've made Dr. Balance, but I had everything for my Patron warrior except for Grom. So I thought Grom was better. And used all the other dust on cards for rogue and filling out a few other things.

Doing fairly well with the deck. But I'm playing Casual just to learn teh mathz and getting the mechanics down better since in the past when I played rogue I wasn't combo'ing oil and stuff right.

I feel like you have to play rogue like this.
Dodge bad stuff and be awesome

That budget list looks great. It is the exact list I was running but with Edwin for Southsea and obviously Thalnos for Kobold. It is basically the same list that Purpledrank and Mickin run. Purple hates Southsea, but Mickin runs it sometimes.

Southsea is kind of fun and can ensure an oil, but I like the 3 heals more and rarely missed the Southsea to get a good oil off. But once you have both Legendaries you can decide between the Southsea and 2nd Earthen and even Edwin. Edwin is not always that great and sometimes can clunk up your hand, but is super fun so I like to always play him in my decks.

I cut southsea for a while bc mickin cut it, and I pretty much look to him for expert rogue play...

but my results suffered. I personally play oil a lot better with a deckhand. it's a good card!

really, everyone's mileage varies. I also work better with 2 teachers 1 shredder.

I'm running this list atm, broke top 100 with it last night.

I'm having problems where I run out of cards on Oil rogue and using important cards to clear the board and fend off the bad people that want to touch my face in inappropriate manners.

Am I playing too passively and should go for their face more than worry about board clearance?

For some reason, I keep trying to get Maly into an oil deck and it just doesn't work. The idea was to have one other big body that synergized with the spells, but I had to cut vancleef and a fan of knives (added one sinister strike for an action turn ten combo.

Anyone mess with a more dragon oriented rouge maybe? Oil obviously proven top tier deck, so screwing around w refined product not usually successful. Think trying to half hybrid something like I did might end up being worse.

malygod rogue is a totally viable alternative (albeit, slight alternative) to oil

Can't wait for TGT. I think rogue is getting some really nice tech cards. Even if people say the set sucks for rogue, I think rogue's tools are boarderline OP so adding some refinement is really great.

On opening week while everyone is trying to figure out how to slow the game down, why not speed the game up and get to legend easily?

TGT Launch Tempo Rogue

This deck cuts out a lot of the control rogue cards and adds many more combo enablers. It will need refinement as the meta develops but it should go fasttttttt. It's also cheap so if you don't have a big collection you can still get this up and running day one.

Backstab 2x
Prep 2x
Cold Blood 1x
Conceal 1x
Deadly Poison 2x
Buccaneer 2x
Leper Gnome 1x
HaHa 2x
Blade Flurry 2x
Evis 2x
Sap 2x
Undercity Valiant 1x
Perdition's Blade 1x
SI:7 Agent 2x
Tinker's Sharpsword Oil 2x
Shredder 2x
Loatheb
Sprint 2x

Cold Blood: It's the best Face damage buff in the game. I'll start play with 1x but this might be better as 2x. Problem with this card is it's dead except when pushing for 1 or 2 turn lethal.

Conceal: It's crazy how many decks have no great options vs a concealed board. This card will win this deck games it doesn't deserve. It can also be used as a combo piece if you are desparate.

Buccaneer: This card is the best 1 drop minion in the game. Its insane guys.

Leper Gnome: Face is the place and helps with our combos

Undercity Valiant: It remains to be seen how good this card is, so I'm going to give it a 1 of test treatment and we'll see.

Perdition's Blade: It's amazing how other cards make existing non-played cards valuable. This can be a straight up turn 3 play. But turn 4 Buccaneer/ Perdition's Blade is a legit tempo combo that can blow the board up. This could either be 2x or not even in the deck, so it needs testing.

I'm glad you are excited because I love rouge and I'm convinced i won't play it at all during this expansion

It certainly has no viable deck that isn't really fast. But the decisions on when to go face are interesting as far as tempo decks go.
