The single Chow & single Thoughtsteal kind of bothers me. Chow I could begrudgingly get behind, but I'm very strongly in the "2 or 0 Thoughtsteal" camp, just based on the theory that if I'm stealing your Shield Slams or Kill Commands or Power Maces, I want the corresponding cards that make those good.

Last Zetalot stream had two of everything in it, except for his Voljin, Holy Fire, Sylvannas, and Mind Control. (He has zero Naaru, Loetheb, or Sneeds to make all that fit.)

(He's also been testing a Velen's Chosen-based build with Shadow Boxers, but I haven't seen enough to have an opinion on it. Haven't been able to catch him live, and watching his VODs can be a pain with all the audio cut-outs.)

not sure why they would bother you. sometimes you just have to make cuts in some spots.

I saw Zeta running a new list yesterday and had a Priest Dominance quest today so I gave it a whirl. A little more early game which I was into. Velen's chosen has been really good especially with the Chows added. Can get an early 3/7 or 4/7 to just clean up minions like crazy.

At the end of the Stream he was getting pissed at BS oil rogue shenanigans (an 11 damage blade flurry will do that to you) and swapped out Loatheb for Harrison, but I have just been keeping loatheb cause yesterday when I played during the day I was seeing lots of mech mages.

I'm making a gimmick "steal priest" deck in which all cards revolve around stealing stuff:

2x Mindgames

Any ideas for more cards I can add to this deck?

you should probably use shrinkmeisters too if you want to continue the gimmick, synergizes with the madnesses and cabals.

would be funny to add lorewalker cho, for obvious reasons

edit: And Harrison Jones. Doesn't exactly "steal" the weapon, but it kinda does.

Brewmasters are a great combo piece with Shadow Madness.

Gonna try Kolento's 2x Recombob/Shrink/Shadow Madness/Cabal list. Looks like a lot of fun with all the combos.

Anyone have a good priest list? Need to clear priest dominance quest.

In the priest mirror, rule #1 is never go full northshire.

I copied Reynad's Inner Fire priest and it's quite fun. It's inconsistent as hell so not a legit high level deck, but you end up killing your opponent with a gigantic 20/20+ creature early in the game a large % of the time so it's quite fun. Lots of turn 4-6, one turn lethals, hit a 30 HP / 5 armor warrior dead with a 37/37 creature in one turn, that sorta thing.

Of course if you don't' draw the right cards early you just lose horribly, but who cares.

Yeah I've played against this deck a couple times. Pretty frustrating if I can't draw an equality I basically can't get through the Deathlord and I just die.

I've been having fun with a Resurrect priest deck in casual mode. Except for northshire clerics, I don't run any minions less than a cost of 3 and try to use spells to control the board until I can get some injured blademasters or better out. Once I achieved the dream of turn 4, two 4/7 injured blademasters.

This deck would suck on ladder though because it's too slow against hunters and zoo. But for some reason those decks aren't too popular on casual mode (or they weren't today for whatever reason).

Is it me or is Priest the most gimmicky class there is?

It's by far the most reactive class, if thats what you mean. To me, gimmicky means based around 1 card or so, and frankly warrior appears to be far and away most gimmicky due to Grim Patron right now

I meant more gimmicky by the mechanics of the class, not cards. Not hating on the class. Just seems like all the builds I have played against revolves around a limited mechanic.

I think the old Control Priest was relatively gimmick free. It is different in that it uses your opponent's cards against them in some ways.

I think the Inner Fire/Deathlord Priest is a little gimmicky but you have to recognize it early and find ways to combat it. Because of the prevalence of that deck now I feel like I mulligan hard for removal spells vs Priest.

zetalot runs prophet velen + 2x mind blast and is consistently high on the EU legend ladder. Everyone says priest is weak, yet I see no one else running this build. What is he doing that no one else can seem to figure out?

priest is NOT weak

games just take a while and there is a lot more skill involved than mage and hunter, so its not widely played
