Blizzard is releasing new hero skins for a low low fee of $9.99/ea.

I am justified, I am purified, I am sanctified in agreeing with Blizzard here. (I hope 3.50% of the traffic enjoys the NIN reference).

As a 30+ yr old Warcraft diehard whom embraced the lore back in 1995, I'm very happy when Blizzard manages to stay true to their roots.

Thus far, I am:

OK with Magni Bronzebeard as the new Warrior hero. Having an Alliance hero works ok I guess. Still, Muradin (STORM BOLT HERO POWER) or Varian would be better.

VERY HAPPY with Medivh as the new Mage hero. Medivh is the mage boss of bosses, there is none higher.

VERY HAPPY with Alleria as the new Hunter hero. She hasn't been active since 1997, but has always been a topic of speculation. Great character.

So who is left???

Rogue: This will clearly be Garona. I'll be shocked if it's anyone else. The desire to try and balance Horde/Alliance is minor here. Garona is THE Blizzard rogue. I didn't know who Valeera was prior to HS, but she has done OK.

Shaman: This will be a tough spot to fill. I have no idea what they'll do here. Thrall is one of a kind. I can't even speculate. This and Warlock are the most tough.

Paladin: Uther is the man (WELL MET) but this is nearly a lock to be Lady Liadrin. She meets the Alliance vs Horde quota and has boobs.

Druid: Equivalent to Uther, Malfurion is THE DRUID. I see Hamuul Runetotem being a cheap Horde cop-out here, sadly.

Warlock: This is a the biggest question mark I have. Gul'dan was the one, the only, the ultimate bad ass warlock. No idea what they would do here. Archimonde would fit well but Blizz definitely wants an Alliance hero here. I just can't think of one. The Archimonde vs Jarraxxas flavor text could be amazing though.

Priest: I would love to see any Shadow Priest archetype lore developed here. There isn't much in the game. It's very fertile ground. It would also allow for a more aggro (and hopefully playable) Priest class.


Please feel free to use this thread to:

1) Speculate over the new heroes being released in the coming weeks
2) Complain about new skins not being FTP
3) Complain that your favorite lore dudes (or womens) aren't represented
4) Hunter being OP
5) Spam your requests for your favorite skin because there is at least a 5.7% chance Blizzard cares about what 2+2 thinks

I think it's funny all the people saying "Who's going to shell out 10 bucks for this??". They've never seen the stupid pointless in-game crap people will buy for RL money in WoW. I may or may not own most of the purchasable mini-noncombat pets and may or may not also own some mounts

Of the 3 announced so far I'll only buy Medivh. The new warrior hero is meh and I can't see myself using anyone other than Rexxar to play hunter.

The rest depends on who it is.

I played a guy who used the Medivh portrait. It was pretty underwhelming. I wonder if this will be the new "horse armour."

They need to fix the interactions with new heroes. Cairne still tells Magni that he isn't fit to rule the horde, and mirror image still summons copies of Jaina.

I saw Medivh on stream last night. His entrance is pretty cool

I don't think the mirror images are supposed to be Jaina, they're just twin chicks.

Think about what exactly the spell mirror image does, and why it would have taunt. They gotta be Jaina to make any sense.
